Abstract: At least one of a plurality of rollers supporting an endless belt includes a flange arranged on an end portion of the roller. The flange includes a cylindrical portion that is inserted into an opening portion of the roller at its end. Outer circumference of the cylindrical portion makes contact with inner circumference of the roller, and inner circumference of the flange makes contact with a rotation shaft of the roller. The inner edge of a surface where the flange is in contact with the rotation shaft is located on the inner side of the outer edge of a surface where the cylindrical portion is in contact with the roller in the longitudinal direction of the rotation shaft.

Abstract: A resin-made belt pulley (p) including a rim (2) over which a belt is engaged and a web (3) molded together with the rim and mounted on a rotating shaft, (1) extending through a position radially inside of the pulley, characterized in that a mounting position (30) of the web (2) on the rotating shaft (1) is offset (12) from the center (8) of the rim (2) in an axial direction, and the web (3) includes a vertical web portion (7) extending from the mounting position (30) of the web in a radially outward direction of the rotating shaft (1) and inclined web portions (9) diagonally connecting the vertical web portion (7) to the center (8) of the rim in the axial direction. Since a belt tension acting on the rim (2) is born at the center position (8) of the rim (2), deformation of the rim (2) caused by the belt tension can be minimized even if the pulley (p) is fabricated from resin which is a material of low rigidity.
Abstract: A rear derailleur for a bicycle includes a base member for fixing to a bicycle frame, a movable member for supporting a chain guide, and a linkage mechanism coupling the base member to the movable member so that the movable member is capable of movement relative to the base member. A roller is coupled to the base member for rotation about a rotation axis, wherein the roller includes a cable guiding surface for guiding an inner wire of a control cable. A casing support is provided for supporting an outer casing of the control cable, and a pivot coupling pivotally supports the casing support to the base member so that the casing support pivots around a pivot axis that is spaced apart from the rotation axis.
Abstract: A magnetic-tape-cassette apparatus provides a pulley (1, 21, 22) for a belt drive, particularly to a flywheel for a deck of the magnetic-tape-cassette apparatus. The pulley has a groove (10) at its circumferential edge (6, 7), in which groove a drive belt (11, 27) is engageable to drive the pulley. In order to manufacture such a pulley simply and cheaply, the pulley comprises a central disc (2) and a first (3) and a second (4) end disc. The first and the second end disc are shaped along their circumferences in such a manner that they form the groove in which the drive belt is engageable.
Abstract: An improved cast power transmission disk and method of forming the same, the disk including a peripheral rim having at least one power transmission unit spaced from a hub with an integral body portion therebetween, a major portion of the rim and hub and the entirety of the body being formed on one side of a mold parting plane along with preselected areas of build-up, chamfering and draft angles and the remaining minor portion being formed on the opposite side of the mold parting plane.

Abstract: A pull wheel for a form, fill and seal pouch packaging machine has a hub that includes an axially extending central bore and a circumferentially extending peripheral surface that is located radially outwardly from the bore. First and second circumferentially extending flanges are formed integral with and extend radially outwardly from the peripheral surface of the hub. The first and second flanges are axially spaced apart one from the other on the peripheral surface of the hub forming a groove between them. An integrally formed, annular shaped elastomeric body is located radially outwardly from the hub in part within the groove and in further part over and radially outwardly displaced from the first and second flanges such that the periphery of the elastomeric body is displaced radially outwardly from the periphery of the flanges.
Abstract: A pulley device having a V-groove is formed by friction welding a pair of stamped steel plates together. A metal plate having a melting temperature lower than the steel plates is placed between the plates to melt-bond therewith by friction welding.
