  • Patent number: 9903461
Abstract: A pulley intended to be mounted around a rolling bearing and having an inner web for connecting to an outer race of the rolling bearing, an outer web for connecting to a flexible force-transmitting element, and radial connecting ribs between the outer web and the inner web. The ribs are distributed in several groups, each group providing at least three successive ribs, which form several pairs of adjacent ribs, the midplanes of which are separated two by two at a regular angle, and the angle between the midplanes of two adjacent ribs in one and the same group varies, between two adjacent groups, by at least 5% with respect to the smaller of the two angles.

  • Patent number: 9841096
Abstract: A belt pulley (1) for a belt drive and a plastic injection molding method for producing the belt pulley are provided. The belt pulley (1) includes an anti-friction bearing (2) and a running ring (3) which surrounds the bearing outer ring (7). An end side of the running ring has a multiplicity of molding points (13) which run on the sector radii (R) of circular sectors which have a common center point on the rotational axis (15) of the belt pulley and at least two center point angles (?) of different size. Part of the circular sectors are to have sector radii, on which the molding points have cross sections of different size. Here, the center point angle of the adjacent circular sector on the side of the larger molding cross section is larger than the center point angle of the adjacent circular sector on the side of the smaller molding cross section.

  • Patent number: 7947149
Abstract: A web of a first sheet material and a web of a second sheet material are laminated together by a process wherein the sheet materials are wound, in an interleaved relationship, upon a roller having a radially displaceable outer surface. The roller and webs and then subjected to heating and/or a low-pressure environment so as to complete the lamination. A body of adhesive material, such as a hot melt adhesive, may be interposed between the webs and the heating or low pressure environment can activate this adhesive. Further disposed are particular configurations of rollers with radially displaceable surfaces.

  • Patent number: 4973292
Abstract: A pulley for engaging an endless belt or the like suitable for automotive vehicular use comprising an annular body of plastic material including an annular inner hub portion defining a central axis, an annular outer peripheral portion and an intermediate portion integrally interconnecting the annular outer peripheral portion in concentric relation with the inner hub portion, and a temperature compensating-wear resistant rim structure formed of metal. The rim structure is formed with a series of wear resistant arcuate sections spaed apart with a temperature compensating connecting section extending between adjacent ends of adjacent arcuate sections.

  • Patent number: 4855174
Abstract: The present invention discloses a lagging-reinforced structure which comprises a substrate, a lining layer of a flexible and resilient material coated on the upper surface of the substrate, a plurality of laggings embedded in the lining, the laggings having an anchoring portion at the embedded end thereof, and the laggings made of a material of high hardness and high wear resistance. Due to such construction, the peeling-off of the lagging from the lining layer can be effectively prevented.

  • Patent number: 4821871
Abstract: A flexible rubber strip or sheet is described which is useful as surfacing material on an idler pulley or the like. The rubber strip includes a row of openings along each end. A pair of spaced-apart metal strips is secured to each end of the rubber strip. A portion of each metal strip is exposed in the openings to enable it to be welded to the surface of a pulley to secure the rubber strip to the pulley to thereby provide a wear surface.

  • Patent number: 4722722
Abstract: A rotary drive member such as a gear or pulley has a hub portion that can be mounted on a shaft for rotation about the axis of the shaft, a rim portion that can be engaged by another drive member such as a gear, chain or belt as the rotary drive member rotates about the axis of the shaft, and a radially extending web that rigidly interconnects the hub and rim portions. The rotary drive member is formed by injection molding plastics material to provide a unitary, one-piece plastics member that envelops selected portions of a pair of inner and outer insert members that extend concentrically about the shaft rotation axis and that are formed from metal. The inner insert takes the form of an elongate, tubular metal sleeve that defines inner diameter portions of the hub portion of the rotary member. The outer insert takes the form of an annular metal disc that extends radially with respect to the shaft rotation axis to define portions of the radially extending web.

  • Patent number: 4673380
Abstract: An idler roller consists of a roller body which comprises a plastic core having a bore to accommodate an idler shaft and a shell of polyurethane located around the core to provide a tubular load-bearing wall. Bearing assemblies are located within the roller body at each end thereof for receiving the idler shaft. A channel-shaped metallic insert is embedded in the shell, the insert spiralling around the whole length of the core. An electrically conductive clip or the like connects the metallic insert to a bearing assembly to drain any electrostatic charge formed on the surface of the polyurethane shell away from the shell via the bearing assembly to the idler shaft.
