Connector Comprises Cord Sewn Through Belt Ends Patents (Class 474/258)
  • Patent number: 7661256
Abstract: A draper cutting platform for use in an agricultural harvester includes a platform section having an elongate belt. The belt includes opposite ends, a pair of side edges defining a width of the belt therebetween, and a plurality of longitudinally spaced cleats extending crosswise between the side edges. Each cleat has a length which is less than the width of the belt. A seam joins the opposite ends of the belt. The seam includes a splice bar and a pair of lacings. The splice bar has a length which is approximately the same as the cleat length. Each lacing is disposed in an area between a corresponding end of the splice bar and a respective side edge of the belt.

  • Patent number: 6811849
    Abstract: The invention relates to a textile web, especially a textile-covered web for a paper-making machine, which, viewed from a transverse direction, is provided with several web sections (6, 7, 8, 19, 20, 27, 28) that extend parallel to one another in a lengthwise direction and are aligned adjacent to one another, with their lateral edges (9, 10, 11, 12, 21, 22, 29, 30) being attached to one another via fasteners (15, 16, 17, 18, 25, 26, 33, 34). This textile web is characterized in that the adjacent lateral edges (10, 11, 21, 22, 29, 30) follow a meandering course with alternating projections (13, 23, 31) and recesses (14, 24, 32), and the web sections (6, 7, 8, 19, 20, 27, 28) are interlocked with one another via these projections (13, 23, 31) and recesses (14, 24, 32), and in that the fasteners (15, 16, 17, 18, 25, 26, 33, 34) connect the projections (13, 23, 31) to one another.

  • Patent number: 6620068
Abstract: A power transmission belt having an endless body with a length, an inside, and an outside. The body has cogs on at least one of the inside and outside of the body and spaced along the length of the body so as to define alternating cog crests and cog troughs. The cog crests each have oppositely facing side surfaces with an apex between the oppositely facing side surfaces. There is a reinforcing fabric on the at least one of the inside and outside of the body. The reinforcing fabric has first and second spaced end portions with a first free end at the first end portion and a second free end at the second end portion. The first and second end portions overlap so that the first and second free ends are each at a side surface on a cog crest.

  • Patent number: 6612955
Abstract: A power transmission belt having a compression section, a load carrying section and an outer cover layer. The outer cover layer comprises a fabric; fiber loaded stock or blended material for reinforcement. The cover layer is spliced together using a thin non-woven strip of material spanning across the butted ends of the cover layer. The thin strip used in the splice significantly reduces belt noise by being subsumed into the adhesion rubber layer during fabrication.

  • Patent number: 5344369
Abstract: A power transmission belt having a belt body defining a tension section and a compression section and having an inside surface, an outside surface, and laterally spaced side surfaces. A canvas layer is provided on at least one of the inside, outside, and side surfaces and has a first surface abutting to the belt body and a second surface that is exposed with the canvas layer on the belt body. The canvas has ends joined by thread to produce an endless layer. A first part of the thread is exposed on the second surface of the canvas layer and is at least one of a) a twine of natural fiber and b) multi-filament twine of synthetic fibers. A second part of the thread that is exposed at the first surface of the canvas layer is a mono-filament of synthetic fiber.
