  • Patent number: 9108625
Abstract: A planetary gear device is provided between a driving wheel and an energy accumulating device. A sun gear of the planetary gear device is connected to an input shaft of the energy accumulating device. A carrier of the planetary gear device is connected to the driving wheel. A torque adjusting device is connected to a ring gear of the planetary gear device. When a regeneration control is not carried out, the torque adjusting device is controlled by a control unit, so that a braking torque generated at the torque adjusting device and applied to the ring gear is controlled in order to make a difference of a rotational speed at a smaller value between the input shaft and the sun gear.

  • Patent number: 8534408
Abstract: An electrically-operated two wheeled vehicle provided with a swing unit which pivotally supports a drive wheel WR. The swing unit includes: a first rotary electric machine having a first rotor; a second rotary electric machine having a second rotor; and a planetary gear mechanism which combines a rotational drive force of the first and second rotors to each other and transmits a product of rotational drive forces to a drive wheel WR in a state where a rotational speed is increased. The first and second rotary electric machines are arranged parallel to each other in the longitudinal direction of a vehicle such that an axis Ax2 of the second rotor is positioned in front of an axis Ax1 of the first rotor along the vehicle body. This arrangement prevents a height position of a lower surface of a swing unit from becoming excessively low.

  • Publication number: 20130085029
Abstract: A vehicle power output device for driving a first and second rotary electric machine in an efficient range in a wide driving region and for eliminating the need for a complicated mechanism and control. A planetary gear mechanism combines the rotational drive force of a first shaft rotationally driven by a first rotary electric machine and the rotational drive force of a second shaft rotationally driven by a second rotary electric machine and transmits the combined rotational drive force to a drive shaft with the rotational speed increased. The rotational drive force of the second shaft in the forward direction is transmitted to the planetary gear mechanism via a first one-way clutch unit and a first power transmitting mechanism. The rotational drive force of the second shaft in the opposite direction is transmitted to the drive shaft via a second one-way clutch unit and a second power transmitting mechanism.

  • Publication number: 20100016121
Abstract: Disclosed therein is a transmission, which is adapted to have a deceleration structure while generating an output in the same direction as when a motive power is rotated forwardly when the motive power is rotated reversely. The transmission includes: a motor having a driving shaft; an output cover adapted to surround the outside of the motor and rotated by receiving a rotational force of the motor; fixed shafts adapted to extend toward both sides of the output cover; and a transmission formed between the driving shaft and the output cover. The transmission is selectively connected according to the rotational direction of the driving shaft to thereby provide an output at a constant speed or a reduced speed only in a predetermined direction.

  • Publication number: 20030119617
Abstract: A programmable power transmission mechanism includes first and second torque output units, each of which has a primary driving gear. When a power source rotates an input gear in one direction, the two primary driving gears rotate in two opposite directions. At this time, a motor shaft of a small-size servomotor can rotate in a first direction so that torque is transmitted from the input gear to a rotating shaft via the first torque output unit. Alternatively, the motor shaft can rotate in a second direction that is opposite to the first direction so that torque is transmitted from the input gear to the rotating shaft via the second torque output unit. As such, the first and second torque output units can drive the rotating shaft to rotate in two opposite directions.
