Abstract: A method and device are provided for securing lubrication of an automated manual transmission, AMT, in a vehicle, when towing the vehicle, and where a transmission lubrication system is drivingly connected to and driven by rotation of an intermediate shaft of the AMT. The following steps can be executed in mentioned order and starting from when ignition of the vehicle is switched on: registering a signal that towing of the vehicle is demanded, disengaging all gears that are arranged to drivingly engage or disengage an input shaft to the intermediate shaft of the automated manual transmission, and engaging one gear that is arranged to drivingly engage or disengage the intermediate shaft to an output shaft of the automated manual transmission.

Abstract: Speed adjuster devices, systems, and methods are provided. In an embodiment of the present invention, a speed adjustor device comprises an input shaft, an output shaft, and a housing. The input shaft can receive a first rotational velocity input in a first direction. The housing can receive a second rotational velocity input in a second direction such that the housing rotates relative to the input shaft. The output shaft can be coupled to the input shaft and the housing to provide an output rotational velocity. Other embodiments are also claimed and described.
Abstract: A power train assembly includes an input member drivingly engaged by a power source, at least one output member and at least one gear assembly. The output member is driveably connected to the input member through the gear assembly. A brake assembly is engaged with the output member and a casing is configured to enclose the gear assembly and the brake assembly. The casing includes a main chamber in communication with at least one storage chamber and a reservoir. The storage chamber is adapted to receive a flow of lubrication fluid from the reservoir.
Abstract: An apparatus (10) comprises a hydraulic fluid operated automatic transmission (20) for transmitting motive power from an engine (22) of a vehicle (16) to drive wheels (24) of the vehicle. The apparatus (10) also includes a hydraulic fluid power assisted steering gear (12) for effecting steering movement of steerable wheels (14) of the vehicle (16), the steering gear including a fluid motor (19). The apparatus (10) includes one body of hydraulic fluid (30) for operating both the transmission (20) and the steering gear (12), and one reservoir (32). A transmission pump (40) connected with the reservoir (32) pumps fluid (30) between the reservoir and the transmission (20). A power steering pump (34) connected with the reservoir (32) pumps fluid (30) between the reservoir and the motor (19). One of the pumps (40, 34) is operative to pump fluid (30) between the reservoir (32) and a cooler (50).
