Positive Clutch Patents (Class 475/261)
  • Patent number: 9126590
Abstract: A method is provided for adapting the torque that can be transmitted by a clutch of a motor vehicle that has an internal combustion engine and an electric motor for driving. A pressure medium activation device is driven by an actuator and has a pressure medium link between a master cylinder and a slave cylinder for activating the clutch. An adaptation of the torque that can be transmitted by the clutch takes place in a disengaged clutch position and a change in the actuator position a given pressure of the pressure medium activation device is used to adapt the actuator position or the clutch characteristic curve.

  • Patent number: 8357066
Abstract: A drive mechanism includes a housing, a stationary shaft, at least one acceleration gear assembly, a rotation plate, and at least two centrifugal blades. The acceleration gear assembly having a plurality of acceleration gears is disposed inside the housing and pivots on the stationary shaft, and skewed teeth of the housing engage with the acceleration gears to force the acceleration gears to rotate as the housing rotates. The rotation plate is disposed inside the housing and pivots on the stationary shaft, and is actuated by the acceleration gear assembly and has a first end surface, a second end surface, and a first annular surface connected with the first and the second end surfaces. The centrifugal blades are disposed on the second end surface, and one side of the centrifugal blades has a unidirectional rotatable element engaging with the skewed teeth when the rotation direction of the housing reverses.

  • Patent number: 5696680
Abstract: A drive system for an electric motor vehicle, for transmitting a rotary motion of an electric motor to a drive wheel through a speed reducing device, the system including a clutch device clutch for connection and disconnection between the electric motor and the drive wheel, a shift lever having a drive position and a neutral position, and a clutch operating mechanism which operatively connects the shift lever and the clutch device such that the clutch device is placed in its connecting and disconnecting positions when the shift lever is operated to the drive and neutral positions, respectively.

  • Patent number: 5263906
Abstract: A multi-speed mechanical automatic transmission has two planetary gear trains, each including a sun gear, planet gears mounted in a planet carrier, and a ring gear. The first planetary gear train provides low gear and direct drive; the second train modifies low gear operation of the first train to provide an intermediate gear operation. The first sun gear is fixed to an input shaft, and the first planet carrier drives an output shaft. The second planet carrier is coupled to rotate the first ring gear in one direction, and free wheels or selectively actuated friction brakes prevent rotation of the first and second ring gears in the opposite direction. The first planetary train has helical gears, and a direct drive clutch selectively couples the first ring gear to the first planet carrier.
