Abstract: A dual reciprocating blade landscape saw is operably connected to a rotatable shaft of an input device. The landscape saw includes a worm assembly having a lower housing and a worm disposed therein, the worm operably connected to the rotatable shaft of the input device and having a spiral thread, a worm gear assembly having an upper housing and a worm gear disposed therein, the worm gear having a disk comprising a cutout and a plurality of outer teeth engaged with the spiral thread of the worm, and a pair of blades coupled to opposing sides of the worm gear. The rotatable shaft of the input device drives the worm of the worm assembly. Rotational motion of the worm transfers to the worm gear to permit the pair of blades coupled thereon to move linearly in a reciprocating sequence.
Abstract: A continuously variable valve timing apparatus may include an end plate connected to a camshaft, a drive sprocket rotating the end plate, a first friction plate disposed to be coaxial to the end plate, a second friction plate disposed to be coaxial to the end plate, a first brake selectively braking the first friction plate, a second brake selectively braking the second friction plate, and a control gear portion which changes relative phase between the end plate and the drive sprocket according to braking of the first friction plate or the second friction plate.

Abstract: An infinitely variable forward speed mechanical transmission uses asymmetric helical/spur gear trains mounted to rotate within a rotor assembly to reduce the torque output within the rotor assembly through inefficiency of the asymmetric gear trains. The rotor assembly includes integrated input and output hubs having adjacent radially flush outer control surfaces, with the output hub in mesh with the asymmetric helical/spur gear trains in mesh with an output shaft. A transmission speed control device connected to a control gear connected to a control tang of a wrap spring positioned about the control surfaces of the input and output hubs provides infinitely variable control of the relative rotation of the two hubs to selectively control the torque output of the transmission.
