Patent number: 8515639Abstract: The embodiments herein provide an automatic clutch system for automobiles. The system comprises a mechanical section and an electronic section. The mechanical section comprises a rail support base with a rail-shaped ridge installed, dynamic parts installed on the rail-shaped ridge, supporting arms, an elevator mechanism connected to the clutch pedal and a clutch pedal lever. The electronic section comprises an input section for placing the elevator mechanism in due place and a keyboard for regulation, a sensor circuit, a command circuit including microcontroller, an exit section for changing a position of the elevator mechanism, a feedback circuit including a rotary encoder and monitors. The command circuit processes an instruction data from the input resources based on the regulations set by the user and transmits a command to the output section to position the elevator mechanism.Type: GrantFiled: November 10, 2011Date of Patent: August 20, 2013Inventor: Mehdi Zaerin

Patent number: 6567735Abstract: A method of shortening response time during a gear shifting operation process is applicable to a semi-automatic, electronically controlled transmission of motor vehicles, in particular utility vehicles, takes into account a driver's reaction time to reduce delay in clutch re-engagement. To initiate a gear-shifting operation in such a transmission, the driver actuates a shifting command emitter and at the same time disengages a clutch typically by depressing a clutch pedal. In response thereto, a newly selected gear is engaged in the transmission by an electronic system using outside force assistance, for example compressed fluid. The driver is informed via an acknowledgment device when the clutch can be properly engaged once more.Type: GrantFiled: September 25, 1998Date of Patent: May 20, 2003Assignee: Wabco GmbHInventors: Harald Bortfeld, Alfred Klatt, Uwe Winkelholz

Patent number: 5415597Abstract: A stepless automatic variable transmission with gears in a state of constant meshing which is operational without the need for disengaging or changing the gears such that the rotational output power can be varied to effect a neutral, low speed, medium speed, high speed, overdrive or reverse rotation by selecting a stepless automatic speed change method or a manual speed change method, and which includes a speed change system, an overdrive system and a speed change controlling system. The assembly of speed change system (10, 110, 310, 410, 510, 610), the overdrive system (50, 360, 660, 760) and the speed change controlling system (80, 180, 380, 680, 780) can vary with each of the systems combined to result in numerous stepless automatic variable transmissions. To effect speed changes low speed, medium speed, overdrive, and reverse rotation brake means are used. Also, either the manual speed change method or the automatic speed change method can be selected.Type: GrantFiled: December 10, 1993Date of Patent: May 16, 1995Assignees: Jong O. Ra, Joon Y.
