Abstract: A lubricating oil base stock including one or more monoesters represented by the formula (I), (II), (III) and (IV) as defined herein. The lubricating oil base stock has a high temperature high shear (HTHS) viscosity of less than about 1.7 cP as determined by ASTM D4683, and a Noack volatility from about 15 to about 90 percent as determined by ASTM D5800. A lubricating oil containing the lubricating oil base stock including one or more monoesters represented by the formula (I), (II), (III) and (IV) as defined herein. A method for improving one or more of thermal and oxidative stability, solubility and dispersancy of polar additives, deposit control and traction control in a lubricating oil by using as the lubricating oil a formulated oil containing the lubricating oil base stock including one or more monoesters represented by the formula (I), (II), (III) and (IV) as defined herein.

Abstract: A control system for a work vehicle includes: a negative-type parking brake device that starts operating in response to a parking brake instruction; an output device that outputs the parking brake instruction; a service brake device that operates in response to an operation of a brake pedal by an operator; and a brake control device that operates the service brake device regardless of a pedal operation by the operator when the parking brake instruction is output from the output device.

Abstract: A hydraulically servocontrolled transmission for a road vehicle provided with an internal combustion engine; the servocontrolled transmission displays: a servocontrolled mechanical gearbox operated by at least one first hydraulic actuator; a servocontrolled clutch operated by at least one second hydraulic actuator; a hydraulic circuit comprising a hydraulic accumulator, which contains pressurised control fluid which is used by the hydraulic actuators, and a pump, which is directly operated by the internal combustion engine to supply pressurised control fluid to the hydraulic accumulator; a park-lock device operatable to block the rotation of the driving wheels; and a control unit, which, when the internal combustion engine is turned off, uses the remaining pressure of the control fluid within the hydraulic accumulator to bring the servocontrolled mechanical gearbox in a neutral position.
Abstract: A motorcycle having a speed control rotary throttle grip and a pivoted brake lever both mounted on a steering handlebar, is provided with a split clamp ring surrounding the throttle grip and movable to releasably clamp the throttle grip against rotation from a preset position of cruising speed. A catch pin supported by one section of the split clamp ring is movable with the other section of the clamp ring to releasably secure the sections together. The catch pin is movable either manually by physical force or automatically by movement of the brake lever during braking of the motorcycle speed. Manual force may be applied to move a clamp lever, while automatic operation is achieved by movement of the brake lever into engagement with the clamp lever.
Abstract: In an automatic transmission which comprises: a starter motor for starting an engine and a hydraulic pressure source having a main pump driven by the engine and an assist pump driven by an electric motor, when an idling stop control unit outputs an idling stop signal to an engine control unit, an engine and an assist pump are stopped. When the idling stop control unit receives an OFF signal from a brake switch, the idling stop control unit outputs a cancellation command for canceling an idling stop operation to the engine control unit to drive a starter motor and the assist pump.
