Abstract: A method for control of braking by a supplementary brake (290-296) of a motor vehicle (100; 110): Choose (s410) supplementary braking by a control device (270). Continuously determine 20) total available supplementary brake torque (Mtot) and determine (s430) by the control device (270) a chosen proportion (Mshare) of total available supplementary brake torque (Mtot). Determine (s440) a supplementary brake torque (Mtot*) corresponding to the chosen proportion share) and apportion (s450) supplementary brake torque determined (Mtot*) to a chosen supplementary brake (290-296). A computer program (P) implements the method. A device controls braking by a supplementary brake (290-296). A motor vehicle (100; 110) is equipped with the device.

Abstract: An electric autobrake interlock system for an aircraft includes an autobrake power interlock mechanism that prevents inadvertent (uncommanded) application of brakes. The autobrake power interlock removes operating power from the brake actuators whenever the autobrake actuation data does not indicate a legitimate autobrake application condition. The interlock processing occurs in parallel with the autobrake command processing such that even if an inadvertent autobrake command is generated, the brake actuators will be unable to act upon the inadvertent autobrake command. In this regard, the brake actuators are unable to apply brakes automatically unless the following two actions happen concurrently: the operating power is provided to enable the electric brake actuators and autobrake actuation control is commanded in response to the legitimate autobrake application condition.

Abstract: The invention relates to a parking brake system for transmissions of motor vehicle, especially for an automatic transmission and an automated selector transmission, having one parking brake for blocking or releasing the transmission according to actuation signals of a control device, especially by a pawl engaging and disengaging in a parking brake gear connected with the output of the transmission, an electric operative connection between the control device in the interior of the motor vehicle and the parking brake, a spring accumulator (9) for actuating the parking brake and a pressure-controlled release device of the parking brake. It is proposed to load the release device (10) when releasing the parking brake with a negative pressure independent of the transmission and which is preferably taken from the suction system (15) of the internal combustion engine of the motor vehicle or from a negative pressure brake force booster of the motor vehicle.
Abstract: An apparatus (10) for controlling the road speed of a motor vehicle has an accelerator pedal (12), which is biased counter to its actuating direction into an inoperative position and is movable from the inoperative position into a neutral position, from which a further movement of the accelerator pedal (12) counter to the spring bias leads to an increase of the drive torque of the motor vehicle drive. A device for detecting the inoperative position of the accelerator pedal (12) is connected to a braking-force generator (40) and in the inoperative position of the accelerator pedal (12) causes the braking-force generator (40) to make a predetermined braking force available.
Abstract: A drive unit, notably for a motor vehicle with an internal combustion engine and a transmission. The drive unit has two hydrodynamic retarders, each featuring a rotor and a stator. A primary retarder precedes the transmission in the power train and a secondary retarder follows the transmission in the power train.
