The pin holds the rigid loop of the belt until the pin is retracted by the trainer, preferably when the tether's handle is released by the trainer.

Abstract: A knee rehabilitation exercise device with a right and left leg brace, a rear knee strap, an upper leg strap assembly, a lower leg strap assembly, a portable rear brace assembly and an elastic resistance band. The left and right leg brace members are each comprised of an upper member and a lower member rotatably pinned together at the area of the knee joint. The left and right leg braces are attached to the upper and lower leg strap assembly. The rear knee strap is attached to the left and right leg braces at the knee joint. When a user places the elastic band onto L hooks mounted on the upper and lower strap assembly and the rear brace assembly is placed between the rear of the user's knee and the elastic band, a resistive stretching is caused when the user straightens his leg which exercises and strengthens the user's leg muscles in the area of the knee joint.

Abstract: A physical therapy apparatus for use in conjunction with a treadmill provides an assistive force to a forward movement of the legs. A force assistance device is adapted to attach to the feet or legs of a patient positioned on a motorized treadmill to assist in walking therapy by providing an assistive force to a forward movement of the patient's feet or legs. An adjustment device may vary an interface of attachment, for example, the height or direction, between the force assistance device and the patient's feet or legs. A force arresting device may arrest the assistive force provided by the force assistance device during the forward movement of the patient's feet or legs. The force assistance device provides a substantially constant assistance force during the forward movement of the patient's feet or legs. The physical therapy device may also include a force adjustment device connected with the force assistance device to vary the magnitude of the assistive force.

The trailing end of the frame is supported on a wheel to follow the person as she or he are moving. A measurement system sensing the movement of the wheel then records the rate of the movement to provide an indication of fatigue.

Abstract: One embodiment of the present invention relates to a water ski load distribution system for anatomically distributing tow rope induced forces across a participant. The system includes an abdominal encircling member, a rigid rear support member, a pair of wrist encircling members, and an elongated flexible member. The abdominal encircling member extends around the user's abdomen and may be incorporated within a personal flotation device. The rigid support member extends vertically on the back region between the abdominal encircling member and the user's shoulder region. The elongated flexible member extends between the wrist encircling members and the rigid support member. The length of the elongated flexible member prevents the user from simultaneously extending both arms at the shoulder joint. The wrist encircling members may optionally include load distribution systems that distribute pulling forces directly from a grip induced object to the wrists.
