  • Patent number: 9205299
Abstract: A push-up device that consists of two push-up hand grips that are connected by a slip lock system which contains elastic resistance bands that produce tension. The push-up device has two components. The first being hand grips and the other being elastic bands that attach to the hand grips. To provide additional adjustment for the exercises an assorted group of elastic can be used in conjunction with each other to increase tension for the workout. The elastic bands, attached to the grips, are easily adjusted through the use of a slip lock mechanism in the handles.

  • Patent number: 9205297
Abstract: An exercise device and methods for performing physical exercise that improve strength, conditioning, and flexibility of an operator in a functional way using multiple body positions and exercising multiple muscle groups while keeping the spine in a safe and natural position, being simple to manufacture and use, and being compact and portable. The exercise device includes an elongated member, a hollow member, handles, a foot board system, and at least one resistance band. A resistance band is secured to the elongated member and the hollow member, and slidable movement of the hollow member and the elongated member relative to each other by the operator stretches a resistance band, which creates resistance to the movement, thereby exercising, strengthening, and conditioning the operator. The operator may use the exercise device in a number of configurations to perform a number of exercises in a number of body positions.

  • Patent number: 9155934
Abstract: Method of doing pushups employs a pair of pushup devices including at least one retainer for receiving a connection member at an end of an exercise band; an elastic exercise band is connected to a retainer of each push up device with the band over a user's back as a user pushes upwardly on the handle sections of the pushup devices a pushup device also constitutes a part of the invention. The pushup device includes a longitudinally extending passage at the lower end of a body section in which an end section of an elastic exercise band is directed when a pushup in accordance with this invention is being carried out. Preferably the pushup device includes a handle section removable from a body section and usable with one or more elastic exercise bands separately from the body section to provide a variety of different exercises other than pushups.

  • Patent number: 9126075
Abstract: An exercise staff is comprised of two half staffs which can be coupled together. Each half staff includes a handle portion and a base portion, connected by a spring. An inner cylinder connected to the handle portion has an L-shaped groove with an axial segment. A pin in the base portion engages the groove and when the pin is in the axial portion of the groove, the handle and base portions may be separated with resistance by the spring. The handle portion is adapted to receive inserts of varying weights to modify the mass of the staff in use.

  • Patent number: 9095491
Abstract: Muscle treatment devices and methods are described for applying pressure to and facilitating the stretch of muscles in a body. The muscle treatment device preferably includes an elongate shaft, an intermediate member engaged to the shaft, and at least one muscle treatment member engaged to both the shaft and intermediate member such that in use, the at least one muscle treatment member is prevented from rotating around the longitudinal axis of the shaft. In a method if using the device to facilitating the stretch of muscles in a body, a patient preferably shortens the muscle being treated, applies angular pressure to the muscle by contacting skin tissue such that it directly affects and/or pins the underlying targeted muscular structure of the muscle with the outer surface of the at least one muscle treatment member, and then lengthens the muscle.

  • Patent number: 9089756
Abstract: A swing training apparatus is described that has a cylindrical main shaft that includes an intermediate stop and a pair of end stops. The intermediate stop is located at a predetermined location on the main shaft between the end stops. A pair of grips are connected to and slide on the main shaft. One grip is positioned between the intermediate stop and each of the end stops. A bias mechanism urges the grips towards the intermediate stop. The main shaft includes a channel that guides the travel of the grips on the main shaft. The grips facilitate the kinesthetic training of a two handed swing in sports such as golf and baseball by training the alternating pushing and pulling of the grip along the longitudinal axis of the main shaft.

Abstract: An exercise system using a door frame has a cylindrical bar perpendicularly located between a first jamb and a second jamb. A first vertical post is located on the first jamb below the cylindrical bar and has incrementally spaced first rings. A second vertical post is located on the second jamb below the cylindrical bar and has incrementally spaced second rings. A padded resistance member has first end elastic bands extending from a resistance member first end and second end elastic bands extending from a resistance member second end. At least one of the first end elastic bands has a first hook member located on one of the first rings and at least one of the second end elastic bands has a second hook member located on one of the second rings.

  • Patent number: 9072928
Abstract: An exercise apparatus may include an elongated tube disposed between a pair of handles. The elongated tube may be stretchable and flexible, making the exercise apparatus ideal for use in resistance training, amongst other sports and activities. The elongated tube may be attached to each handle by a grommet, a gasket, and an insert. An end of the elongated tube may be threaded through the gasket and may receive the insert, which prevents the end of the elongated tube from retreating back through the gasket. The grommet may be arranged on the gasket and affixed to a strap defining a portion of the handle.
