Having Pair Of Handles Patents (Class 482/126)
  • Patent number: 7341544
Abstract: Conventional skipping ropes have a generally elongate handle swivellably mounted on each end of the rope which is held by the user between the fingers and palms. In accordance with the invention, the handle is shaped like a “T” with the vertical stroke of the T being, at one end, swivellably connected to the rope, and also being, at the other end, connected to the crosspiece, a.k.a. transverse portion, of the T. The handle may be held with the crosspiece of the T situated between fingers and palm and with the vertical “stroke”, a.k.a. elongate portion, extending between two fingers. The crosspiece a.k.a. transverse portion of the handle is asymmetric, and thereby adapted to fit to a hand which is holding the handle with the vertical a.k.a. elongate portion passing between two fingers other than the second (index) and third (middle) fingers.

  • Patent number: 7316636
Abstract: Three types of exercise grips provide for pivot-anchoring of an impinging body within them so that the impinger heads engage stretchable or non-stretchable exercise media extending upward through their tunnels. The first is a handgrip, the second, an exercise spool used in the manner of cross-country skiing or vigorous walking and the third, an ankle crescent-shaped grip for lateral repetition exercises of the legs. An impinger is caused to swing down to press against exercise media emerging from the grip's tunnel to provide a reliable of connection. Proper anchoring of the impinger within the grip assures its continuing presence to make adjustments and avoids its loss or misplacement. The handgrip permits of anchoring either within the body's interior or at its exterior, in which case, the impinger stem is caused to extend through a window cut therein.

As the user swivels the upper body, the elastic members are placed in tension and provide resistance for exercising the oblique abdominal muscles.

Abstract: A pull exerciser includes a handle, an attachment member having a tubular portion and a loop portion, a resilient cord having an end attached to the tubular portion of the attachment member, and a belt extending through a through-hole of the handle and the loop portion of the attachment member. The tubular portion of the attachment member has an engaging hole through which the end of the resilient cord extends. A stop is embedded in the end of the resilient cord and partially inserted into the engaging hole of the tubular portion of the attachment member, thereby preventing the end of the resilient cord from disengaging from the tubular portion of the attachment member.

Abstract: A stretching exerciser includes a seat bar supported on a collapsible spring bar at a base in a backwardly tilted position. A back cushion is pivotally fastened with a top end of the seat bar and forwardly backwardly turnable relative to the seat bar. The back cushion is closely attached to the seat bar due to the effect of the gravity weight when receiving no external force. A seat is pivoted to the seat bar. An axle is adjustably mounted on a front side of seat bar to selectively support the seat between two elevational positions.

  • Patent number: 7022046
Abstract: A device for exercising and the associated method of using the device to exercise. The exercise device has a first handheld element on which is located a first surface. A second handheld element is also provided. A second opposing surface is located on the second handheld element. The first surface on the first handheld element can be aligned with the second opposing surface on the second handheld element when both the first handheld element and the second handheld element are positioned in a predetermined orientation. A biasing mechanism is provided between the first handheld element and the second handheld element. The biasing mechanism applies a force that opposes the positioning of the first handheld element and the second handheld element into the predetermined orientation.

  • Patent number: 6997857
Abstract: A posture correction exercise device is disclosed to aid in correcting the common postural condition of kyphosis lordosis by aiding in the exercise of the spinal erectors to strengthen the erectors to pull the user's spine and torso backward into normal alignment and by exercise of the mid-trapezious, rhomboid and posterior deltoid muscles to strengthen these muscles to pull the user's shoulder blades together and force the shoulders into normal alignment. The device operates by seating the user upon a declined seat to provide increased resistance by gravity to provide increased resistance to backward movement of user's body and rotation of user's arms against tension mounted on tension back and resistance of said tension against backward movement by the user's body wherein hands of the user are positioned in supinated palms-up hand positions by grasping ball grips affixed under the rearward rotational arm positioners of the device at the exterior ends of the arm positioners.

  • Patent number: 6988978
Abstract: An exercise bar cord impingement assembly permits exercise in two modes, defined in terms of how cord anchoring is arranged. There is a tunnel or, alternatively, a nest at each end of the bar where snug connection—a direct one—with a conventionally stoppered cord end is made. Handgrips may be employed with the assembly instead, in which case, each cord end is impinged not within the bar's body but within the grips—an indirect connection. A tunnel may have shared emplacement wells within it, preferably situated concentrically, one for the impinged cord, the other for an emplaced handgrip connection block. A handgrip's connecting block may be shaped in any of several ways for rotational positioning advantages. Cord emplacement slots are preferably present in both the bar and the block. In models having nests instead of tunnels, a cord emplacement channel is necessarily provided to get the impinged cord seated into place.

  • Patent number: 6979286
Abstract: An exercise bar and cord assembly having a cavity or nest at each end of the bar for connection with a snugly fitting cord emplacement block. The exercise cord, stoppered with a plug in conventional manner, is connected to the block, extending through a tunnel within it. The block may be shaped in any of several ways and a strapped handgrip connection block will serve the purpose. Emplacement channels or slots are optionally present in both the bar and the block. If the block has an axially symmetrical neck, it may be rotated so that the channels are misaligned for improved cord retention. Two modes of exercise are defined in terms of the cord's anchoring means—that is, whether its ends or a mid-portion of it.
