Rolled By Or Against User Patents (Class 482/132)
  • Patent number: 11944871
Abstract: Systems and methods disclosed herein concern a motorized fitness wheel. The fitness wheel includes a wheel that rotates about an axle with two handles that extend outward from respective sides of the wheel along the rotational axis. In use, the user grasps the handles with their hands and rolls the wheel back and forth along the floor. A motor is configured to apply a torque to the wheel in either forward or backward direction to apply resistance or assistance and enhance the exercise. A position sensor feeds positional information of the motor to a microcontroller. Based on the positional information, the microcontroller dynamically controls the output torque of the motor as a function of one or more torque trajectories. The torque trajectories define the output torque of the motor over a cycle of the exercise as a function a spatial variable (e.g., wheel position) and/or time.

  • Patent number: 9675833
Abstract: An improved exercise table or reformer having increased adjustability and storage features. The starting point of the carriage or platform is adjustable to accommodate different sized users. An anchor bar mechanism is adjusted to correspond to carriage starting point, and limits rotation of the anchor bar with respect to the reformer and may be non-removable from the reformer frame. A foot bar assembly may be adjusted and placed in a storage position, allowing the foot bar to serve as a lift handle. The reformer's adjustability provides greater ease of storage.

  • Patent number: 9579538
Abstract: An exercise apparatus for training the core muscles can include a wheeled platform for supporting the upper body or the lower body while the user employs the core muscles to roll the platform across a surface. Two vertical posts can be positioned on opposite sides of the platform near a back edge of the platform to provide handles for the user when the platform is used to support the user's upper body. A third vertical post can be positioned near the center of the platform and can be used to add weights to the platform thereby increasing the difficulty of rolling the platform across a surface.
