  • Patent number: 11850472
Abstract: A device for visual walking includes an omnidirectional exercise machine and foot wearable devices. A method for visual walking is applied to the device for visual walking. When a user wears the omnidirectional exercise machine and uses the loading frame to adjust a height of the omnidirectional exercise machine, and wears the foot wearable devices to stand and run on a running plate, human body posture data is obtained by tracking a human body torso. Then displacement data of left and right feet is obtained by tracking the feet. A virtual position and a movement speed of the feet are respectively obtained according to the displacement data, the leg posture is inferred by the IK algorithm according to the virtual position and the walking action of the virtual character is controlled according to the human body posture data, the movement speed of the feet, and the leg posture.

  • Patent number: 11819734
Abstract: A system and method for implementing a virtual fitness application are disclosed. Embodiments may be built for various platforms, including web browsers and mobile phones. One embodiment uses pose estimation to count the repetitive motions of a fitness activity (e.g., running). In one embodiment, to count the repetitive motions, a repetitive motion counting process is used that is based on computing differences of Y-coordinates of key points of the user. The repetitive motion counting process includes selecting a proper pose of the user; computing one or more delta values (corresponding to Y-coordinate changes of the key points); and counting a given user movement as a repetitive motion based on a function (e.g., average) of the delta values. One embodiment uses the pose estimation and repetitive motion count results to provide a gamified experience, for example, a leaderboard, a stats report, instant visual feedback, badges, coins, and a social experience.

  • Patent number: 10130540
Abstract: A body lifting device for a bed is provided with a support unit, having a predetermined height, connected to a fixing part of a bed. A movable bed part adjusts an angle between the fixing and movable parts. A driving force transfer member of the device is connected to the movable part at one end, the other end extending toward the fixing part, and has a support point therebetween supported by the support unit. A length between the support point and the other end varies depending on an angle adjustment of the movable part. A lifting unit of the device supports a portion of a user's body, and is connected to the other end of the driving force transfer member. The lifting unit selectively lifts up the user's body depending on movement of the driving force transfer member, which is caused by adjusting an angle of the movable part.

Abstract: An improved barbell having horizontal spring-loaded resistance for increased muscular activity in an individual is provided. Spring action created by the horizontal spring-loaded resistance in the improved barbell provides the individual with additional muscle activation as compared to a traditional barbell. The improved barbell may include a spring that can be compressed and uncompressed using a tubular steel shaft, which is maintained in place by a self-lubricating linear bearing to reduce binding. The design provides a smooth action consistent with muscle-building execution exercises. The spring and bearing may be encased in a barrel with precision. The barrel may be welded to a 1-inch diameter steel tubular shaft. A separate 1-inch diameter steel tubular shaft may be installed in the barrel. The pair of tubular shafts may hold a desired weight.

  • Patent number: 9387353
Abstract: A fitness and exercise device utilizes magnetic force to facilitate energy expenditure, muscle build up and weight loss upon the swinging of bending of the arms and/or legs and/or body. The device comprises an upper and a lower pad, sized to be disposed over the front side of the joint, with the upper pad overlying an upper part of the limb and with the lower pad overlying a lower part of the limb. Magnetic force is generated by magnetic energy sources of opposite polar orientation incorporated into an upper pad and a lower pad disposed above and below over the front side of a joint, with an upper pad overlying an upper part of the limb and with a lower pad overlying a lower part of the limb. When the joint is straight the magnetic energy sources are positioned sufficiently close so that they attract. When the arm is being bent the magnetic energy sources exert resistance due to their opposite polar orientation.
