Abstract: A discus has a top plate formed of a perforated aluminum sheet fused with carbon fiber, a bottom plate formed of a perforated aluminum sheet fused with carbon fiber, a weighted spool between the top plate and the bottom plate, and a ring connecting the top plate to the bottom plate.
Abstract: The invention is a therapeutic rehabilitation device for person having carpal tunnel syndrome or recovering from carpal tunnel surgery, the device being made of a formed flexible pad of moldable thermoplast covered in foam padding for post surgical treatment of the flexor retinaculum ligament using palm pressure or by applying pressure between the index finger and thumb.
Abstract: The present invention relates to a sports treadmill comprising a plurality of detectors disposed at two sides of the main body of the sports treadmill adjacent to the running belt, and the detectors have a sending terminal and a receiving terminal so that, when the positions of the front and the rear feet of the runner is detected by the detectors, the detected value is rapidly transmitted to a central processing unit of a microcomputer inside of the electronic control panel while the exact position of the runner on the running belt is analyzed by the central processing unit; thereafter, a command to accelerate or decelerate will be given by the central processing unit to the motor in order to create an immediate control effect of the rotation speed of the running belt to achieve an automatic adjusting effect of the present invention in accordance with the running speed of the runner.
Abstract: A discus for throwing is provided in conformance with rules and specifications established by track and field governing bodies, such as The Athletics Congress of the USA and the International Amateur Athletic Federation. The preferred discus has top and bottom sides and a metal rim, the edge of which is circular. Each side has a metal plate set flush in the center thereof, wherein the plates are flat and circular. The sides taper in a straight line from the beginning of the curve of the rim to a circle having a radius from the center of the discus; thus, the discus is thicker in the center than at the perimeter. An imaginary equatorial plane divides the discus into top and bottom halves and is perpendicular to a central imaginary line referred to as the axis of rotation, wherein the discus rotates about the axis of rotation when thrown. The discus has an asymmetrical weight distribution between the top and bottom halves thereof.
Abstract: An aerobic exercise device featuring a vertically movable seat counter-balanced mainly by a spring. As a user, supported by the seat, executes a squatting exercise the seat will urge the user toward an initial position. The seat moves vertically along an upright column having a pulley at its top. A cable connects the seat to a spring at the back side of the column via the pulley. Handles are suspended from arms at the top of the column to help a user support his or her weight.
