  • Patent number: 5720132
Abstract: A fence gate opener with fluid gravity closure assembly having 1) a main closure gate assembly with a main gate assembly; 2) a main support base assembly operable to be connected to a ground support surface and having the main gate assembly pivotally connected thereto; 3) a fluid gravity closure assembly operably connected to the main support base assembly and the main gate assembly for pivotal movement therewith; and 4) a gate actuator treadle assembly operably connected to the main support base assembly and the main gate assembly to cause pivotal movement thereof from the opened to the closed conditions. The main closure gate assembly includes a counterbalance weight assembly being rotatable with the main gate assembly on a pivot shaft member from opened to closed conditions of the main gate assembly. The main support base assembly includes a support frame assembly having a pivotal gate support assembly connected thereto.

  • Patent number: 4115954
Abstract: A gate structure is provided whch is openable from a remote position and includes a pair of spaced apart supports on one of which is mounted a hinge arrangement having a pair of spaced apart hinged members which are movable relative to one another and in turn hingedly mount a gate on a support. Power means is provided and is operably connected to the hinge means to effect the relative movement of the hinge members whereby upon relative movement the gate is tilted and the free end thereof is raised so that the gate will open under the influence of gravity. The power means is selectively operated by motive means which is operably connected to actuator means by an energy transmitting member which is substantially immovable during the transmission of energy from the motive means to the actuator means. Latch means is provided which releasably retain the gate in its closed position and when the free end of the gate is raised the latch means will release the gate so that same can move to an open position.

  • Patent number: RE33201
Abstract: A vehicle traffic-way controller of retractile barrier configuration wherein activation and control is by hydraulics in the form of a pressure source applied from a motor driven pump and directed by a valve to opposite ends of a double acting cylinder and piston actuator to extend and retract the barrier, there being switch control with positive positioning of the barrier and with impact absorbing protection for the hydraulics and structure.
