    Abstract: There is described a profiled sash section for a window sash holding a window pane and intended for being installed in an outer frame of a blast resistant window. The sash section includes a main member enabling inter-engagement between the profiled sash member and the outer frame a window pane holding member for accommodating and securing an end portion of said window pane in the profiled sash member, and a reinforcing member designed to support the end portion of the window pane and to transmit blast pressure, if incidentally applied to the window pane, to the main member. For at least partially absorbing blast pressure energy applied to the window pane, the sash section is provided with damping means for deforming up to predetermined limit. Also described is a blast-resistant framework for a casement window, including the window sash assembled from the mentioned profiled sash sections and adapted for rigidly and air-tightly securing the window pane in the holders of the profiled sash members.

    Abstract: A cap and shield assembly for a fluid conduit coupler has a shield and a cap hingedly connected to the shield with a shaft having a cross-pin extending therethrough. A cam bushing in the bore of the shield has a cam surface which coacts with the cross-pin to provide a positive closed position for the cap relative to the shield. Preferably, the cam bushing also provides a positive open position. The cap and shield assembly is particularly advantageous for couplers having a dry-break interface because the cap is readily moved between open and closed positions and operators will be more inclined to use the cap after fluid transfer. Shrouds on the cap and the shield coact to protect the coupler interface when the cap is in the closed position thereby protecting the dry-break interface from contamination by road and environmental debris. This is particularly advantageous compared to the dust cap of the prior art which tends not to be used for its intended purpose of protecting the fluid conduit coupler.

    Abstract: A method for converting a gate panel into a rolling cantilever-type gate utilizing a conversion kit consisting essentially of a one-piece top-rail extrusion, commercially available roller assemblies, and hardware for attaching the top-rail extrusion to the existing gate panel.The top-rail extrusion is constructed in one piece with a flat vertical ribbed side face having vertical shoulders. The shoulders either bolt directly to the gate panel in a horizontal orientation or attach to the gate panel horizontally with contoured brackets selected to fit the gate's structural members. One side of the top-rail extrusion is provided with a longitudinal compartment having a downward facing opening along its length. The compartment serves as a trackway for upper roller assemblies which are secured to support posts. The upper roller assemblies access the compartment by way of the downward facing opening and support the gate.

    Abstract: A door hole cover for covering a hole in a door has two substantially flat cover plates that are secured to opposite sides of the door for covering the door hole. The first cover plate has an attachment tube extending from the center of its inner surface such that the attachment tube is positioned inside the door hole during assembly. A centering disk is placed over the attachment tube and held in place by a retainer clip. A fastener fits through a hole in the second cover plate and engages an internally threaded hole in the attachment tube to secure the first and second cover plates to the door in a position covering the door hole. The centering disk inside the door hole substantially prevents movement of the cover plates in a plane that is parallel with respect to the door. The centering plate may include three removable tabs that are left in place to cover relatively large door holes, but may be removed to cover smaller door holes.

    Abstract: It is necessary to close an open end of a core tube when a fork is charged or not charged in the core tube and an apparatus for opening and closing the core tube comprises a first and second lid members which are operated independently. The first lid member is utilized at a time when the fork is charged and is provided with a fork charging portion having a configuration corresponding to that of the fork. The first lid member is composed of a pair of door members formed to be openable by dividing the first lid member at a central portion thereof, the door members being provided with cutouts, respectively, constituting the fork charging portion when the door members are closed. The second lid member is utilized at a time when the fork is not charged and is provided with a solid structure. The first and second lid members are independently swung and moved forward and backward with respect to an open end face of the core tube.

After the web and substrate pass through drying chambers, the coated surfaces are pressed together with rollers and heat is applied. The method is particularly suitable for laminating strips bearing a woodgrain pattern onto extruded thermoplastic members which are thereafter cut into segments for use in making prefabricated window systems.

    Abstract: A wooden door for installation as the entry door of a new or remodeled residence is completely factory prefinished by fabricating all wooden parts to accurate dimensions and staining all these parts, including cut-outs in the door blank for a lock assembly and other hardware, before assembly. After preliminary staining and assembly, all final finishing operations are performed on the door, and it is packaged in a protective package, along with its hardware, and shipped as a separate item to the resident site. The frame in which the prefinished door is to be mounted in the completed residence is also factory assembled, a temporary door of expendable quality is installed therein, and the frame and temporary door are shipped to the site independently of the final door for installation as soon as the residence has been completed to the point where installation of the door frame is in order.

    Abstract: To provide flow of grain controlled in amount and direction, an end gate for a truck comprises an end gate body adapted to be fastened to the end panel of a truck having three vertically slidable door panels in it and a single lever operated drive plate. Each of the door panels includes a separate latch by which it is connected to the drive plate. The door panels are mounted in parallel track members with cut-away portions and a member extending upwardly from the bottom edge of the door panel when the door panel is in its uppermost position to hold the lower portion of the door panels. The latches include hinges movable from a location over an L-shaped flange on the longitudinally extending drive plate and away from said longitudinally extending plate and the latch cam may be moved to engage the hinge and press it against said longitudinally extending plate for connecting said drive means to said door panel.
