  • Patent number: 11774412
Abstract: A centrifugal separation type FFF device where a rotor can be rotated at a high speed safely so that particles of a smaller size in a sample liquid can be classified. A field flow fractionation device is provided with: a channel that is attached to the inner circumferential surface of the peripheral portion of a rotor and where a classification flow path is created; flow paths for feeding a sample liquid into and out from the classification flow path; and a rotational drive mechanism for rotating the rotational axis, wherein a channel installation portion is formed on one side of the peripheral portion, and a mass balancer portion for adjusting the mass distribution of the rotor is formed on the other side with the rotor base in between.

Abstract: A modular cyclone precleaner system includes one or more standardized and reusable modular cyclone blocks configured in parallel. The modular cyclone blocks are provided as components designed for reuse across differing precleaner systems for potentially different precleaner applications, providing standardized component building blocks and reducing manufacturing cost. The modular cyclone blocks are designed to be selectively combinable to provide a cyclone precleaner system having the required gas flow characteristics and particulate removal capabilities required for any given precleaner application. The precleaner system includes a housing that is sized for at least one given precleaner application and adapted to supportively receive the selectively combined modular cyclone blocks for the application.

  • Publication number: 20100204032
Abstract: The present invention relates to a separator for separating air and possibly present solids from a mixture of dental waste water, comprising an air-water separator, wherein a mixture supply tube opens into a centrifuge drum, an air discharge duct extends from the centrifuge drum to the mixture supply tube and the centrifuge drum includes an upper drain edge over which a water outlet is guided onto the outside of the centrifuge drum. In accordance with the invention, the separator is characterized in that the mixture supply tube opens onto a central turbine wheel arranged above the centrifuge drum bottom and an impeller of a waste water delivery pump, which communicates with the water outlet, is arranged on an outside of the centrifuge drum in the vicinity of the centrifuge drum bottom.

  • Patent number: 6632166
Abstract: A centrifugal separator includes a rotatable separator bowl, a hollow shaft spindle in the bowl along the rotational axis of the bowl, and a variable-drive motor for selectively rotating the bowl at a high separating speed and at a lower scraping speed. A scraper and feed assembly including scraper blades is supported by the shaft spindle within the separator bowl. A feed liquid is supplied to the separator bowl via the scraper and feed assembly at substantially the interior surface of the separator bowl. The scraper assembly rotates with the bowl at the separating speed while centrate is drawn off. While the bowl is operated at the scraping speed, the scraper assembly is prevented from rotating with the bowl and is moved axially with respect to the bowl to scrape accumulated solids from the interior surface of the bowl. Loosened solids exit the centrifuge via a discharge port at the bottom of the bowl.

  • Publication number: 20020016243
Abstract: A centrifugal separator is provided which maximizes solids recovery yield and separated solids dryness with minimal user intervention. The centrifugal separator includes a rotatable separator bowl, which is selectively rotatable and supported by a hollow shaft spindle. A scraper and feed assembly including a plurality of scraper blades is supported by the shaft spindle within the separator bowl. A feed liquid is supplied to the separator bowl from the scraper blades at substantially the interior surface of the separator bowl so that the feed liquid is gradually accelerated upon entering the separator bowl. High speed operation of the centrifugal separator is performed to generate separation forces as high as 30,000 g's at the interior surface of the separator bowl. This allows the feed liquid to be safely and effectively separated at lower stress levels within the separator bowl.

  • Patent number: 6224532
Abstract: An improved blade design and method for enhancing the efficiency of operation of a centrifuge is disclosed based on measuring a varying value of the load on the centrifuge as the flow of contaminated fluid is injected into the centrifuge. The centrifuge has a plurality of blades with radially overlapping edges to keep the fluid being centrifuged compartmentalized and thus quiet for maximum efficiency. Additionally, the scraping blade assembly has blades which are angled in the scraping direction to force the solids towards the exit of the centrifuge, whether that be at the bottom or the top. A programmable logic controller monitors the load on the drive motor and compares a baseline value of load after accelerating the rotor to speed to the value of load while the contaminated fluid is injected into the rotor.

  • Patent number: 6145669
Abstract: A centrifuge includes a conveyor for moving cake along a cake flow path towards a cake discharge opening and further includes a baffle mounted to the conveyor and disposed along the cake flow path. The baffle is provided on an upstream side, facing substantially away from the discharge opening, with a concave profile or surface. This concave profile or surface serves to direct a portion of the cake, which is headed downstream along the cake flow path, into a recirculation or churning path directed partly back towards a pool. The recirculation or churning of the particulate material facilitates an enhanced washing thereof and improves the removal of valuable solutes or undesirable impurities from the cake.

  • Patent number: 4676770
Abstract: A pneumatic discharge apparatus for a stripping centrifuge that has a stripping blade mounted on the stripper head and extending over the entire width of the drum. A filler body is further arranged in the stripper head, which affects the conveying flow through the stripper head so that the material being stripped is prevented from settling in a critical material settling area. Because the stripping blade extends over the entire width of the drum and the filler body is arranged in the stripper head, the discharge capacity of the pneumatic discharge apparatus is very high, and the sealing problems usually arising in vertical stripper centrifuges are largely eliminated.
