The furniture includes a bed frame pivotally mounted between a pair of frame members and movable between a horizontal bed orientation and a vertical orientation. A seat member is pivotally mounted to a desk member below the bed frame such that the seat member is exposed when the bed frame is vertically oriented. The desk member can be raised to desk height by raising it and flipping the seat member into a vertical orientation.

Abstract: A sofa bed assembly comprises a carcass having an inside, outside and interstitial interface. Mechanical moving parts comprise a bed base mount assembly and gas strut all outside the carcass and interface mounted. A base supports a mattress held by base sidewalls, vertical within and filling the carcass with the sofa bed closed. An armrest supports a sitter's arm in the closed assembly and as is a proximal bed support in the open assembly. Pivoted leg supports at the end of the bed base rotate as distal bed supports. Alternatively, a sofa is moved to the end of the bed base as distal bed support. An armrest extension extends the armrest for the closed assembly and folds through 90° for the open assembly allowing the armrest to act as the proximal bed support. Armrest shields cover mechanical moving parts.

Abstract: A printable interchangeable vertically retractable front cover system for a Murphy bed may provide a cover assembly, a cover framing assembly, a cover drive assembly, and a Murphy bed assembly. The cover assembly may vertically deploy to conceal a Murphy bed in the upright position and may vertically retract for the bed frame and mattress to be lowered to the floor. The cover assembly may include a positionable cover having a continuous seamless printable surface that may accept high resolution printed imagery such as photographs and artwork. The cover may vertically retract and deploy with the aid of its own drive assembly. The positionable cover may either roll up or fold up into a compact cover assembly which may be uniquely removably mounted to the cover framing assembly to allow for quick and easy transition from one cover assembly to another, thus making it uniquely interchangeable.

A pair of guide rods extend downwardly from the upper frame and are telescopically received in respective pillow block bearings. The pillow block bearings allow the guide rods to shift or pivot slightly when horizontal forces are experienced by the sleeper bed so as to reduce the shock felt by a user thereon.

Abstract: The folding vehicle bed assembly includes a housing member that can be connected to a vertical support wall and a bed frame that can be stored within the housing member or extended for use. A movable support lever provides a first pivotal connection to the bed frame to enable the bed frame to rotate when moved from an operative horizontal position to a vertical storage position. A second pivotal connection is attached to the end of the bed frame adjacent to the vertical support wall and above the height of a mattress. A motor assembly is connected to the second pivotal connection to drive it parallel to the vertical support wall and to rotate the end of the bed frame about the second pivotal connection.

Abstract: In a first embodiment, a positioning shaft is fixedly connected to a frame of a folding bed. A switch is operable to cause a motor to rotate the positioning shaft in a manner that alternatively causes the frame to rotate to either a raised storage position or a lowered functional position. In a second embodiment, a power assembly and the frame have axes of rotation that are displaced from each other. A motor of the power assembly is coupled to an end of a threaded shaft that engages threads of an internally threaded sheath that is connected to the frame at a datum location. The frame is raised in response to a distance between axis of rotation of the power assembly and the datum location being increased. The frame is lowered in response to the distance being decreased. The distance is changed in response to a rotation of the threaded shaft.

Abstract: A fitting arrangement for a folding bed, preferably a wall folding bed, includes a first fitting part on the corpus or body of the bed; a second fitting part on the folding bed, supported pivotally on the first fitting part; and a first holder on the corpus of the bed and a second holder on the folding bed to hold devices, especially spring devices, which exert force on the folding bed to push it into its up position. The first holder is provided on the first fitting part and the second holder is provided on the second fitting part.
