Abstract: A foldable mattress support has an adjustable inner frame with a ratchet support for raising the head of a mattress. Legs are incorporated into the side and end bars of the mattress support. Upper and lower bars of the support are pivotally attached to the vertical plate of a hinge. Bolts oriented along axes of rotation pass through the bars and through the vertical plate. A first upper bar pivots about a first axis; a second upper bar pivots about a second axis; a first lower bar pivots about a third axis; and a second lower bar pivots about a fourth axis. Each of the axes is orthogonal to the vertical plate, and the third axis is spaced farther apart from the fourth axis than the first axis is spaced apart from the second axis. The distal ends of the upper and lower bars are pivotally attached to end bars.

Abstract: A bed in a box is provided. The bed in a box comprises a plurality of components and a box. The plurality of components includes a headboard, a footboard, at least two first segments, at least one first connector for joining the at least two first segments end to end to form a first side rail, at least two second segments, at least one second connector for joining the at least two second segments end to end to form a second side rail, and a mattress support system. The plurality of components are disposed in the box. One or more of the at least two first segments is in a position other than end to end with another of the at least two first segments. One or more of the at least two second segments is in a position other than end to end with another of the at least two second segments. A bed frame and method for packing a bed in a box are also provided.

A plurality of third coupling members provided proximate to each free end of the longitudinal bars, each third coupling member having an opening facing inwardly with respect to the frame being in the open state, the opening being configured to pivotally connect one of the free ends of the longitudinal bars. A leg pivotally connected respectively proximate the free end of each longitudinal bar.

Abstract: A bedstead assembly includes a support frame and a top plate unit disposed on the support frame. The support frame includes a rectangular foldable frame member convertible between unfolded and folded states. The foldable frame member includes a plurality of parallel non-foldable plates and a plurality of pairs of foldable plates. Any two adjacent non-foldable plates interconnect pivotally one corresponding pair of foldable plates to define a void space when the foldable frame member is in the unfolded state. The void spaces in the foldable frame member are arranged along a direction parallel to the foldable plates. Pivotable plate portions of the foldable plates are perpendicular to the non-foldable plates when the foldable frame member is in the unfolded state, and are parallel to the non-foldable plates when the foldable frame member is in the folded state.

Abstract: A folding bed frame includes standardized right and left bed frame assemblies that are connectable by central connecting bars to form an adjustable bedboard frame that fits mattresses of differing widths. The bed frame is easy to transport when disassembled into the separate frame assemblies that are each less than half the width of a conventional frame for a double bed. The smaller and standardized frame assemblies reduce manufacturing cost. Foot brackets are pivotally connected to the bottom of the bedboard frame under each bed frame assembly and support the bedboard frame and mattress. Each central connecting bar has U-shaped slots on its ends that clip over the inner side edges of the right and left bed frame assemblies. Each frame assembly has a hinge at its middle axis at which a lower half folds over onto an upper half to allow the assemblies to fit in a packing box.

Abstract: A foldable crib having substantially similar head and foot ends and folding sides either fixedly or pivotally mounted to the head and foot ends, the pivotally mounted ends closer to the head and foot ends being spaced at differing lengths so as to provide a folded structure which is compact and provides a small “footprint” as well as providing a compartment for storing the crib mattress in an upright manner which further contributes to the small “footprint”.

Abstract: A collapsible bed base is disclosed to support a bed mattress. The bed base comprises a foldable peripheral frame, removable cross-support joist members extending across the frame and removable top decking panels supported by the frame and across-support members for supporting a mattress thereon. The foldable peripheral support frame assumes a rectangular configuration in an open position. The frame members at the opposed ends of the frame have a hinge in their center. These frame members at the ends of the frame are also hinged to frame members forming the sides of the frame. The frame members at the ends of the frame can be bent inwardly about their centers so as to draw the side frame members together into a collapsed position.
