Shiftable On Frame Riser Patents (Class 5/209)
  • Patent number: 10624462
Abstract: Adjustable bed frame rail riser assemblies include a first riser assembly that detachably couples to a first rail of a bed frame and a second riser assembly that detachably couples to a second rail of the bed frame. Each riser assembly includes a wedge with a top surface with a slope that inclines or declines a mattress or box spring that resides on the top surface. The riser assemblies may be detachably coupled to standard metal or wooden bed frames and need not be permanent fixtures of the bed frames. The riser assemblies of the present invention do not require levers, arms, or electrical parts. The riser assemblies can further be coupled to standard metal or wooden bed frames, without requiring specially designed beds or bed frames.

  • Patent number: 10080441
Abstract: A bed frame assembly has diagonal struts that lock leg supports into place using novel locking mechanisms. A leg support is pivotally attached to the bedboard frame, and a slotted bracket is welded to a cross bar of the frame. One end of a diagonal strut is pivotally attached to the leg support, and a bolt with a conical washer and a wing nut is attached to the other end. The strut is attached to the slotted bracket by inserting the bolt into a curved slot in the bracket. The bracket also includes a stopper brace that extends perpendicular to the body of the bracket. A side of the end of the strut pushes against the stopper brace when the conical washer is pressed into the end of the curved slot and the wing nut is tightened. The stopper brace prevents the bolt from sliding out of the curved slot.

  • Patent number: 4982463
Abstract: A structure for supporting a mattress in a crib so that it is easily, manually, vertically adjustable and comprising a bracket at each corner of the crib inside the crib, the brackets each having a track or guide for it to slide on and a socket for the reception of a part of the mattress support in an easily detachable manner. Each bracket has a spring-biassed hook on a plate but slidable relative to the bracket and its guide, and notches on the guide receiving the hook so that an upward and then a horizontal motion is needed to free the hook from the guide and allow adjustment of the bracket vertically along the guide.

  • Patent number: 4718132
Abstract: In a piece of furniture, such as a piece of seating or rest furniture of the type comprising a substantially rectangular frame having two opposing frame sidepieces, a plurality of parallel, longitudinally extending grooves is provided on opposing surfaces of said sidepieces. A first flange extending in the longitudinal direction of the profiled rail member is insertable into the grove to support a bottom portion in the furniture. The rail member further comprises a web, which abuts the frame sidepiece, when the first flange has been inserted into one of the grooves, and a second flange connected to the first flange and/or the web of the rail member and extending outwardly from the frame sidepiece. The first flange forms an acute angle in the range of 15.degree.-75.degree., preferably 30.degree.-60.degree., with the web. The grooves formed in the frame sidepieces are correspondingly inclined and free of internal lining. As a result a very simple and inexpensive piece of furniture is obtained.
