Marginal Spring Tension Patents (Class 5/233)
  • Patent number: 11141001
Abstract: An alternative solution for pacifying an infant in his own bed or cradle is herein disclosed. The solution is based on a novel reciprocation device that has a membrane, which supports at least one being and extends along a first Cartesian dimension (Y) and a second Cartesian dimension (Z) to cover an area and has a thickness in the third Cartesian dimension (X). The reciprocation device also includes a tensioning mechanism, which is attached to the membrane and adjusts the tension of the membrane in at least either first or second Cartesian dimension (Y, Z) for repeatedly reciprocating the at least one being lying on the membrane.

  • Patent number: 8764610
Abstract: A trampoline includes a frame, a protective circular net and a jumping portion. The frame has a circular base rack, a plurality of legs and circular net support racks respectively at two sides of the circular base rack. The jumping portion is located in the circular base rack and includes a flexible mat and a plurality of elastic support members having one end coupled on the flexible mat and another end fastened to the circular base rack. The protective circular net is hung on the circular net support racks. The protective circular net is held by a reinforced coupling portion which includes a holding section fastened to the flexible mat and a retaining section threaded through by at least one tightening member. The protective circular net has a lower edge with a plurality of apertures formed thereon threaded through by the tightening member to couple with the retaining section.

  • Patent number: 4630816
Abstract: A jogging apparatus comprising a tubular frame, an elastomeric member bonded to the frame and a mat bonded to the elastomeric member when the elastomeric member is preloaded radially inwardly so that when the load on the elastomeric member is released, the mat is tightly stretched on the frame to provide the jogging surface. Circumferentially spaced legs are pivoted to the inner surface of the frame and which, in operative position, have portions extending radially outwardly and downwardly and which are foldable inwardly within the plane of the jogging apparatus. The legs are mounted by a construction which tends to urge the legs yieldingly outwardly when they are extended and tends to urge the legs yieldingly inwardly when they are folded inwardly.

  • Patent number: 4452444
Abstract: A rebound exerciser for use by an individual in performing a variety of exercises having a frame formed of two symmetrical sections, and a fexible, resilient mat secured to the frame by a plurality of coil springs. The two symmetrical sections are pivotally secured together by two diametrically opposed hinge assemblies which permit the sections to be pivoted to a first compact position wherein the sections are spaced-apart and superimposed to facilitate transportation and storage of the exerciser. The hinge assemblies further permit the sections to be pivoted to a second extended position wherein the sections are in substantially the same plane so that an individual can perform exercises utilizing the mat. The frame is supported above the surface onto which the exerciser is positioned by a plurality of leg members which are releasably secured to the frame.

  • Patent number: 4284271
Abstract: A hexagonal jogging platform having a tubular support frame with rounded corners, detachable, tubular support legs at each corner and a fabric platform attached to the tubular frame by novel coil springs having hooked ends bent from the axial center of the spring to prolong spring life. The legs are each rubber tipped with an insert disc or washer in the tip to prevent the leg from cutting through the tip. Each leg is bored to receive a tightening tool.

  • Patent number: 4162063
Abstract: The typical helical springs used to support the bed within the frame of a trampoline or the like are modified to incorporate adjustable hooks threadedly anchored within the springs at one end so that their overall length, and thus the tension on the bed, can be varied and overstretching accommodated. Two principal versions are disclosed, the more preferred one including an additional inner spring biasing the adjustable hook to a retracted position.
