The edges of the blanket are finished by means of a seam, such as a French seam, or an additional binding element of similar material to the waterproof layer. The edges of the blanket are radiused to allow for the easy manufacture should a binding element be employed.

    Abstract: A number of variations of a simple structure for leisure chairs appropriate for both serious indoor use as well as outdoor use. The structure comprises a backrest or occupant supporting member (2) that intersects with and is attached to a countersupporting member (4) in a manner that results in each bearing on the other. Embodiments are disclosed that include armrests (A.P.) as an integral part of the countersupporting member (4). The backrest member (2) is disclosed as straight, with a convex curve in the lower portion (L.P.) of the backrest member (2) to support an occupant's lumbar curve, with a bend between the upper and lower portion to orient the upper portion (U.P.) of the leisure chair at a higher angle than the lower portion (L.P.). A variety of methods of attaching the backrest member (2) to the countersupporting member (4) are disclosed, as are a number of ways of securing the leisure chair in an open position.

    Abstract: A portable towel having a rectangular sheet and a relatively smaller head piece. The head piece has a two layer section, forming a pocket with an openmouth, extending from a one layer section attached to the top edge of the sheet and to the inside of the pocket. In its folded state, the rectangular sheet is folded up and rolled inside of the pocket along with the one layer section of the head piece. The pocket is therefore being closed at its openmouth and carried over with a belt like handling feature. With the sheet being in its unfolded state, the pocket may be filled with any type of clothing articles to form a pillow or the like attached to the sheet. Also, the towel has a few pouches that can be filled with weights such as sand to hold it in place on the ground.

The inventive device includes a blanket, a plurality of side pockets and a pillow pocket along the side and top edges of the blanket, respectively, and a securing/carrying strap. The blanket has top and bottom surfaces, top and bottom edges, and side edges. The plurality of side pockets are provided on the top surface along the side edges of the blanket. Each of the side pockets has a side pocket opening which is securely closed by a side pocket closure. A pillow pocket for receiving and retaining a pillow is provided on the top surface along the top edge of the blanket. Additional pillow pockets may be provided on the top surface along the top edge of the blanket as well as on the top surface along the bottom edge of the blanket. The pillow pocket has a pillow pocket opening which is securely closed by a pillow pocket closure.

The panel is folded over itself, connected at two edges and attached to one end of the beach towel, and can occupy approximately one-twelfth the surface area of the beach towel. Alternately, two rectangular panels can be attached at three edges and connected to one end of the beach towel to form the pillow compartment. The pillow compartment includes a closure at the pillow receiving opening to capture the pillow and keep sand and dirt from entering the pillow compartment and reaching the pillow. The pillow can be easily removed from the pillow compartment providing for easy cleaning of the towel, and easy replacement of the pillow.

One edge of the pillow is provided with a series of storage compartments for small items to be carried, the small storage compartments being fastened by means of a hook and loop type fastener. The Beach Towel With Pillow may be rolled up and bound by the binding cords attached to one lateral edge of the beach towel.
