Abstract: The vehicle seat is structured by covering the pad surface with the surface layer provided with the beading, which prevents the beading formed on the vehicle seat from being rubbed and worn out by clothing of the occupant who is getting on or off the vehicle under pressure applied by the thigh or the back of the occupant, and further prevents dislocation of the beading on the seat under pulling force applied by the thigh of the occupant who is getting on or off the vehicle. The pad has a groove in which the beading is embedded. The beading is embedded in the groove famed in the pad, and the surface layer for enclosing the beading core of the beading is bonded and fixed to the bottom surface of the groove.

Abstract: A pillow and play mat assembly comprising an infant support pillow with an attached activity or play mat. The pillow includes a bolster surrounding a recessed central well. The mat includes a padded panel with a flexible bumper. The bumper is repositionable so that it can extend from the panel upwardly or downwardly. In the fully deployed or play mode, the play mat extends sidewardly from the support pillow and the bumper extends upwardly to enclose the play area defined by the mat. In the stowed or carrying mode, the play mat is folded under the support pillow and the bumper is inverted to at least partially enclose the side of the pillow. In an intermediate position, the play mat is folded under the pillow and the bumper extends downwardly to slightly elevate the pillow.
Abstract: A method of integrating a pillow, including stuffing, within an encapsulated mattress having a core and covering surrounding the core is disclosed. A mattress for use in institutions, such as correctional facilities, detention centers, rehabilitation centers, hospitals and the like, includes a core formed of a padding material, a pillow adjoining the core, the pillow containing stuffing, and a covering surrounding the core and the pillow. Also disclosed is a mattress including a core formed of a padding material, a pillow adjoining the core using a sleeve, the pillow containing stuffing, the sleeve retaining the pillow to the core, and a covering surrounding the core and the pillow.
Abstract: A fast-drying pillow and accompanying pillow cover. The fast-drying pillow is preferably manufactured of a fast-drying material such as nylon. The pillow includes a component for receiving a suspension device to enable the pillow to be suspended for air drying. The pillow cover includes overlapping flaps to minimize the infiltration of dirt into the cover and onto the pillow.
Abstract: A bedding foundation is manufactured with a cover having a welt cord extending upwardly to create a seal when a mattress is placed on the foundation. The cover is made using a two stage process. During the first stage a sewing machine is used to join a welt cord to a web of border material. In the second stage a second sewing machine sews a piece of non-skid decking to the border assembly. Fullness may be incorporated into the border material to enable the cover to fit around the corners of the bedding foundation with the welt cord being spaced inwardly from the perimeter of the foundation.
