Abstract: A headrest designed for an infant. The headrest has a sleeve with flat top and bottom surfaces. The inner cavity of the sleeve is filled with a dry, visco-elastic polymer cushioning material having a 50% compression force deflection in a range of 2.5 to 3.5 psi. The cushioning material also has a 25% compression force deflection in a range of 0.25 psi to 1 psi. The sleeve has a dimension of between 3 inches to 12 inches and is between ¼ inch and 2 inches thick. The sleeve has a specialized cover to protect it from dirt and damage. The cover contains an opening and closing mechanism to allow insertion and removal of the polymer filled sleeve.
Abstract: An amusement system is provided which gives children an opportunity to acquire a formative artistic sense in a simple and clean manner without soiling their bodies and clothes. The amusement system includes: a playing space (A) defined by a floor (10) and partition plates (20) projecting upright on the floor (10); a plastic member (30a) provided over the floor (10) in the playing space (A); and a plurality of plastic members (30b) stacked one on another in tiers along interior surfaces of the partition plates (20) to a height that players can reach. The plastic members (30a, 30b) are each obtained by filling a gel material as a plastic material (32) into a container bag (31) of a flexible urethane sheet to about one half the volume of the container bag (31), then removing residual air from the container bag (31) by suction and sealing the container bag (31).
Abstract: A cushioning mattress is provided to normalize and distribute the weight of a patient's body to reduce the tangential forces bearing on the skin of the patient. The cushioning mattress comprises a top surface, a bottom surface and a series of alternating "tunnel" billows and "loop" billows. Each tunnel billow comprises a separate piece of material affixed to the top or bottom surface along two parallel seams to define a wide-based closed cell. Each loop billow comprises a separate piece of material affixed to the top or bottom surface along a single seam to define a narrow-based closed. Each tunnel and loop billow contains a visco-elastic material capable of conforming to any surface which it engages.

Abstract: An air mat comprising an air mat body constructed by two sheets of outside and rearside respectively made of soft non-ventilation synthetic resin sheets and a plurality of forming partition sheets, and various parts welded to the air mat, such as air supply and exhaustion taps an automatic pressure controllers. A swelled condition of a plurality of air chambers formed by the partition sheets is held under the atmosphere or under a supporting pressure previously set. The air mat is manufacture by various steps including a welding step in which respective partition sheets and the outside and rearside sheets are simultaneously welded by upper and lower electrodes of a double high frequency welding machine.
Abstract: A pad for individually supporting portions of a human body relative to a mattress. The inventive device includes a flexible pad positionable atop a mattress of a bed. An individual support assembly is coupled to an upper surface of the flexible pad and includes a plurality of separate chambers individually filled with a viscous gel to individually support each contacting portion of a human body relative to the mattress. In a preferred embodiment the flexible pad is a foam cushion that is substantially thicker than the height of the gel filled chambers.
Abstract: This invention provides for an ultra low density gel filled deformable cushion (10) which includes a fluid impervious flexible enclosure (12) forming an internal chamber (14). Contained within the internal chamber (14) is a padding fluid composition (16) and a plurality of particulates (18) dispersed within the padding fluid composition (16). The particulates (18) are spherically contoured and have a density which is less than the density of the padding fluid composition (16) for increasing resiliency, deformability and memory of the overall composition within the cushion (10). The spherically contoured particulates are selected from the group consisting of plastic composition microspheres, ceramic composition microspheres and combinations thereof, thereby exhibiting a bounce effect in the gel.
