The air mattress may comprises: a top sheet and a bottom sheet, the top and bottom sheets being made of a flexible airtight material and being connected to form an airtight inflatable compartment; and at least one vertical connecting unit, being disposed within the compartment, wherein the vertical connecting units are attached to respective inner surfaces of the top and bottom sheets to form connecting areas. The air mattress may also comprise a side sheet and at least one horizontal connecting unit.

Abstract: The bedding of the present invention comprises a sealed bag body having an elastic body with a plurality of continuous pores and gas sealed with looseness present in the upper part of the elastic body. The bedding also includes a water-sealed bag body disposed on an upper part of the bag body, the water-sealed bag body having an elastic body with a plurality of continuous pores and liquid sealed therein. The elastic body within the water-sealed bag body has upper and lower parts having looseness. This claimed bedding capable of providing comfortable sleep can be realized by uniformly supporting a human body, with the buoyancy of the liquid while reducing the amount of the liquid required therein.
Abstract: A waterbed having inside air cushion and method of manufacturing same is disclosed. The method comprises forming a watertight bladder having valve means thereon, forming an inflatable air cushion inside the watertight bladder, forming at least one air valve extended from the air cushion through the watertight bladder and secured thereat, inflating the air cushion, filling water into the watertight bladder, and drawing air out of the watertight bladder until the amount of air in a predetermined space of the watertight bladder is substantially reduced to less than 20% by volume, and a water screen is thus formed around the air cushion due to siphonage. The invention can provide an increased degree of softness to the skin of a user, suitably taking away heat from the body of the user, and making muscles supple when the user rolls thereon due to the compressibility of the air cushion.
Abstract: An inflatable bed includes an envelope having first and second walls and a surrounding wall that cooperates with the first and second walls to define an air chamber, a flexible partition sheet disposed within the air chamber, a reinforcing sheet overlying the partition sheet and having a marginal end, a plurality of first retention members connected between the first wall of the envelope and the partition sheet, and a plurality of second retention members connected between the second wall of the envelope and the reinforcing sheet. The flexible partition sheet has a peripheral end welded to the surrounding wall and dividing the air chamber into first and second air chambers. The reinforcing sheet is welded to the partition sheet solely at the marginal end.
Abstract: A waterbed system is provided. The waterbed system comprises a water fillable bed mattress, a plurality of transverse partitions, an air bag unit, and a bed protecting cover. The plurality of transverse partitions serve to dissipate the water disturbances caused by the weight and movement of a user, and enhance the stability and structural integrity of the mattress when filled with water. Those portions of the water fillable bed mattress at which components are joined are thus subjected to less pressure and stress and, consequently, the threat of water leakage is minimized. In certain embodiments, at least one longitudinal partition is also disposed within the water fillable mattress to isolate water disturbances in one set of transverse partitions from propagating to another set of transverse partitions, if any. The longitudinal partition is formed with water openings spaced in offset manner.
Abstract: A thermal regulating cushioning device includes a flexible, deformable outer membrane and a foam core contained therein having a dimension substantially coincident with the outer membrane. A liquid-like material is sealably contained within the outer membrane and saturates the foam core with the liquid-like material being at least partially circulatable through the foam core. The cooperation of the saturated foam core and the sealable flexible membrane provide a uniform, thermal regulating medium and structural support such that the cushioning device is readily, uniformly deformable when a load is applied thereto.

Abstract: A water bed in accordance with the present invention comprises a water bed base and a plurality of water bed mattresses. The water bed base defines a number of container chambers into which an equivalent number of water bed mattresses are respectively removably inserted. Each container chamber is sealed and thus advantageously prevents any of the water bed mattresses which may be leaking water from leaking water outside of the water bed base. Further, the leaking water bed mattress, because it is removably inserted into the water bed base, may be individually replaced. Also, the water bed mattress has a plurality of air and water chambers, some having fluid baffles to restrict the free flow of fluids. Further, the water bed base has several air chambers. These chambers maintain the shape of the water bed while providing a regulator and an absorbing means of the pressure inside the water bed. Thus, user comfort is maximized.

Abstract: A wave reduction system for a water mattress having a plurality of buoyant chambers sealed on a separation sheet used to divide the mattress interior between an upper and lower water containing chambers. The separation sheet is connected by a welded seam to a top and a bottom sheet of the mattress, and has cut-out portions at corners of the mattress to relieve stress on the welded seam. Passages are located in the separation sheet for communicating with each chamber.
