Abstract: The magnetic cushioning system is for use in a cushion, mattress or other cushioned article, the cushioning system providing adjustable firmness for the user. The magnetic cushioning system includes a plurality of magnetic supports enclosed within a cover. Each of the magnetic supports has a flexible shell having opposed upper and lower ends. A permanent magnet is disposed within the flexible shell and is positioned adjacent the upper end thereof. An electromagnet is disposed within the flexible shell and is positioned adjacent the lower end thereof. The cover has opposed upper and lower surfaces, the magnetic supports having the upper ends thereof secured to a lower face of the upper surface, and the lower ends thereof secured to an upper face of the lower surface of the cover. A controller is provided for selectively and adjustably controlling electrical power transmitted to each electromagnet.
Abstract: The present invention is a mattress that has tourmaline discs attached to the mattress. The mattress is an egg-crate mattress which has at least two different elevations, an upper elevation and a lower elevation. The mattress is made-up of foam. The tourmaline discs are attached to the mattress with glue in a plurality of the lower elevations of the egg-crate mattress. The mattress can also have magnets attached in a plurality of the lower elevations.
Abstract: A therapeutic head cradle apparatus has a pair of lateral side support members positioned to support the back, front or side of the head. Weight of the head will apply acupressure and shiatsu pressure to various pressure points located in the head area. Elastomeric cushion layers of different densities allow Chinese self-massage while the head is rolled side to side. A means to adjust the distance between the lateral support members is provided. Magnetic therapy and a sound system may also be part of the head cradle apparatus.
Abstract: The invention is concerned with a mattress jacket having an accessible and expandable compartment therein. The jacket consists of a side wall closely following the contour of the mattress on which it is placed. The bottom of the side wall is tucked under the mattress and secured there under. The compartment includes a bottom sheet that is resting on top of the upper surface of the mattress. The side wall includes a fold that captures a side edge of the of the bottom sheet. There is a further fold in an upper section of the side wall of the jacket that is secured to itself and represents an accordion fold that may expand or collapse as the compartment includes more or less of a cushioning material. There is a third fold secured by seaming in a further upper section of the side wall forming a planar surface confronting the bottom of a cover that may be separably affixed to the same.

Abstract: The invention provides a novel mattress having massage effect for being cushioned by a human back, and comprising an upholstered seat, a number of springs, a plurality of magnetic stones and an upholstery covering said upholstered seat; wherein, said upholstered seat is provided an accommodating space therein, a lying surface on the top surface thereof, a peripheral stretcher protruded and extended upwardly and provided on at least one end on the lying surface, and a supporting plane formed at the bottom surface of said upholstered seat, the central part of said supporting plane being slightly protruded downwardly; and wherein, said springs are installed in said accommodating space, every two of said springs are linked together, and directions of compression and stretching of each spring are always perpendicular to the lying surface and the supporting plane; further, said magnetic stones are disposed on the lying surface of said upholstered seat, and each of them has a kneading part on the top periphery there
Abstract: A flexible magnetic sheet is made of a rubbery synthetic material in which magnetic ferrite particles have been embedded and which one surface of the sheet has a grid pattern of ridges and depressions. The magnetic material is magnetized so that one pole is one each surface. The magnetic lines of force are generated substantially in a plane.

Abstract: Mattresses and cushions, which have a rolling-massaging function and magnetic-therapeutic effect are described. The rolling-massaging magnetic-therapeutic mattress or cushion comprises an upper covering, an intermediate layer, an interior layer, a compound liner and a bottom covering. Between the upper covering and the intermediate layer there is provided a magnetic-therapeutic massaging layer including balls, magnetics beads, element frames and a locating substrate. The balls and magnetic beads are contained in subcavities of the element frames, rolling omni-directionally.
Abstract: A rocking cradle is provided which allows for a hanging cradle contained within a supporting frame to be aided in its cyclical transverse displacement by magnetic attraction and repelling forces. Central magnets are mounted on the hanging cradle and are attracted and repelled by a pair of magnets mounted on the supporting frame with one of the magnets being fixed to the supporting frame and the other magnet being rotatively displaceable with respect to the first magnet. Transverse displacement of the hanging cradle causes pivoting of one of the magnets on the supporting frame which then allows a repelling force from the stationary magnet to act against the magnets mounted on the hanging cradle to displace the hanging cradle away from the magnets on the supporting frame.
Abstract: A covering for bed mattress comprising a plastic foam layer and a quilted layer superposed on the foam layer and a plurality of flat permanent magnetic bans adheringly mounted under the foam layer. The magnetic bands are located at predetermined distances from each other and are made of permanent fine magnetic particles embedded in a rubber-like flexible thermoplastic binder. The layers have a total thickness of about 2 to 5 inches and the magnets have an induction of about 1250 to 3850 gauss. The magnetic bands are disposed along a plurality of parallel rows and the magnetic bands of each row are disposed in staggered relationship with the magnetic bands of adjacent rows. The magnetic bands are preferably rectangular with a width of about 2 to 3 inches and a length of about 5 to 8 inches. The distance between each band and between each adjacent row is about 10 to 15 inches. The covering provides therapeutic benefits to the human body.
Abstract: A mattress liner to substantially cover a mattress surface, the mattress liner including a mattress pad having a top surface and a bottom surface, and a plurality of substantially thin magnets releasably disposed in pockets substantially spaced apart relation from one another along the bottom surface of the mattress pad and secured thereto.
Abstract: A health pillow having both magnetic effect and manual pressure effect and further having good air permeability, which comprises a hollow pillow body consisting of a foamed synthetic resin; a large number of permanent magnets distributedly arranged on the upper surface of the pillow body; and a cover material covering the pillow body and the permanent magnets. The said hollow pillow body has a large number of projections, which consist of the foamed synthetic resin itself and are distributedly arranged on its upper surface such that each permanent magnet is arranged between the projections, and further has a large number of projections consisting of the foamed resin itself distributedly arranged on its bottom surface. The hollow pillow body further has vent holes distributedly formed so as to communicate the outside of the hollow pillow body with the hollow portion formed inside the body.
Abstract: A mattress for magnetic treatment which produces magnetic treatment effects by permanent magnets and chiropractic effects by protuberances while sleeping. The mattress therefore comprises an elastic body of crosslinked foamed polyethylene, foamed urethane or the like, the elastic body having protuberances on its surface for producing chiropractic effects, damper felt fixedly secured to the surface of the elastic body, the damper felt being dotted with permanent magnets, a fiber layer fixedly secure to the surface of the damper felt and used for holding the permanent magnets and the protuberances of the elastic body, and a thin soft fiber layer covering the surface of the fiber layer. The elastic body comprises short and tall barrel-like bodies, these being disposed at fixed intervals.
