Abstract: Water-soluble or water-dispersible granular compositions prepared by coating a water-soluble sulfonylurea herbicide or a water-soluble or water-dispersible form of a sulfonylurea herbicide on a granular substrate using a water-soluble polyethylene glycol binder, and a method for controlling undesired vegetation.
Abstract: A conditioner containing a regrowth inhibitor containing glyphosate, sulfosate, or a salt of either is used at 0-50% open boll to condition cotton plants before chemical defoliation to prevent vegetative regrowth after defoliation. The conditioner can also contain at least one of the Krebs cycle acids, preferably an acid-containing extract from pentosan-containing seed hulls, to increase yields of high quality fibers and vigorous seeds.
Abstract: Agricultural formulations of fluroxypyr that contain an ester of fluroxypyr that is liquid at ambient temperatures, such as the 1-butoxy-2-propyl ester or the 2-ethylhexyl ester, and that contain a reduced amount of organic solvent or no organic solvent are disclosed. The formulations have good physical properties and are highly effective herbicides.

Abstract: A herbicidal composition is disclosed, comprising, as active ingredients, 1-(4,6-dimethoxypyrimidin-2-yl)-3-(3-trifluoromethyl-2-pyridylsulfonyl)ure a and an isopropylamine salt or trimethylsulfonium salt of N-(phosphonomethyl)glycine.
Abstract: Insecticidal, acaricidal or nematocidal compositions which comprise a series of organophosphorus compounds represented by the compounds represented by the following structural formulae: ##STR1## show excellent effect for controlling harmful insects, mites and nematodes, do not give off a bad or irritating odor and exhibit very low toxicity to warm-blooded animals.
Abstract: There are provided compositions comprising a concentrated amount of an herbicidally active agent, or combination of agents, in a solid state suspended in a water immiscible solvent containing an anionic surfactant and a nonionic surfactant and optionally containing an antifoam agent and a suspending or thickening agent. Upon dilution with hard or soft water, said compositions readily form sprayable herbicidal emulsions.
Abstract: The invention relates to 3-aryl-pyrone derivatives of the general formula (I) ##STR1## in which the substituents are as defined in the specification. The compounds are useful as pesticides, herbicides and fungicides.

Abstract: A herbicidal composition is disclosed, comprising, as active ingredients, 1-(4,6-dimethoxypyrimidin-2-yl)-3-(3-trifluoromethyl-2-pyridylsulfonyl)ure a and an ammoium salf of homoalanin-4-yl(methyl)phosphinic acid.
Abstract: The invention relates to comparatively low viscosity aqueous preparations which contain glufosinate and at least one further herbicide active substance dispersed in the aqueous phase, a combination of all .alpha.-olefin sulfonate and co-surfactants such as condensation products based on aromatics, alkanols, formaldehyde and disulfite or condensation products based on naphthalenesulfonic acid or ligninsulfonates being employed as surfactants.
Abstract: There are provided novel 5(and/or 6)substituted 2-(2-imidazolin-2-yl) and 2-(2-imidazolidinyl)nicotinic acids, esters and salts, which are useful as herbicidal agents. There are also provided novel substituted pyrrolopyridine acetonitriles, pyrrolopyridine acetamides, imidazopyrrolopyridinediones and carbamoylnicotinic acid esters, that are useful as intermediates for the preparation of the above said herbicidal agents.
