Abstract: Compositions and methods for vegetation control comprise synergistic combinations of a thiazol-urea abscission agent and an adduct formed by the reaction of sulfuric acid with an amide. The synergistic combinations are particularly useful for the defoliation of cotton.
Abstract: Disclosed are herbicidal concentrate formulation compositions having reduced grass crop plant phytotoxicity comprising certain sulfonamide or sulfonylurea herbicides in admixture with a herbicidal organic acid from the group consisting of clopyralid, 2,4-D, 2,4-DP, dicamba, dichlorprop-P, fluroxypyr MCPA, MCPP, mecoprop-P, picloram, triclopyr or mixtures of said acids; also disclosed is the preparation of said compositions and the pre- and post-emergent agricultural uses thereof in water diluted form.
Abstract: Combinations of (A) N,N-di-substituted urea of formula (I) and a compound selected from (B) 3,6-dichloro-2-methoxybenzoic acid, [(3,5,6-trichloro-2-pyridyl)-oxy]acetic acid triethylamine salt, 2-(4-chloro-2-methylphenoxy)propionic acid, 4-amino-3,5-dichloro-6-fluoro-2-pyridineoxy acetic acid, 3-isopropyl-1H-2,1,3-benzothiazin-4(3H)-one-2,2-dioxide and 4-amino-6-(1,1-dimethylethyl)-3-(methylthio)1,2,4-triazin-5(4H)-one. These combinations exhibit herbicidal activity against a wide range of weeds even in a comparatively small dosage, and are safe and show no phytotoxicity to useful crops.

Abstract: This invention relates to compositions comprising 1-aryl-4,5-dihydro-1,2,4-triazol-5(1H)-ones (triazolinones) in combination with the herbicide (2,4-dichlorophenoxy)acetic acid (2,4-D), or like substituted phenoxyalkanoic acids, or esters, or alkali metal or ammonium salts thereof; or with certain herbicidal sulfonylureas, or mixtures of these classes of compounds, to provide herbicidal compositions which are highly effective against a broad array of crop weeds, particularly broadleaf weeds, in crops such as wheat.

Abstract: The present invention discloses a complex suspended herbicide formulation including: a herbicidally active ingredient of thiolcarbamate type which is liquid at common temperature; a solid herbicidally active ingredient which is slightly soluble in the herbicidally active ingredient of thiolcarbamate type at common temperature; a surfactant; and a dry process white carbon; wherein the solid herbicidally active ingredient is dispersed and suspended in the herbicidally active ingredient of thiolcarbamate type in the presence of the surfactant and the dry process white carbon; and wherein the herbicidally active ingredient of thiolcarbamate type is represented by the formula: ##STR1## wherein R.sup.1 is an alkyl group having from 1 to 3 carbon atoms, a phenyl group, or a halogen-substituted phenyl group; R.sup.2 and R.sup.3 are alkyl groups having from 1 to 5 carbon atoms, with the proviso that R.sup.2 and R.sup.3 may form a ring.
