Abstract: Tablets are prepared with friability reducing agents to yield tablets that are more resistant to breakage or crumbling, but with satisfactory hardness. The friability reducing agents include low molecular weight polyethylene glycol as well as similar agents exhibiting at least three percent (3%) hydroxide moieties and a water solubility of at least eighty percent (80%) (w/w %) in room temperature water. The tablets may comprise an active agent and excipient of almost any type, and about 0.1-about 0.5% by weight friability reducing agent. They exhibit a hardness of at least eighty percent (80%) of the same tablet prepared without the friability reducing agent.

Abstract: The present invention teaches a surfactant blend composition of at least one nonionic alkoxylate and at least one sugar-based surfactant, and its use as an adjuvant for pesticides. The pesticidal composition employing the surfactant blend composition of the invention realizes an efficacy that is unexpectedly superior to similar pesticidal compositions which employ only the individual surfactant components. The composition of the present invention is useful as a tank side additive, or as a component in herbicidal formulations. Bioactive substances that may be so complexed include pharmaceutical agents and pesticides including herbicides, insecticides, bacteriocides, rodenticides, nematicide and fungicides. The matrices comprise either a monomeric-, oligomeric- or (co)polymeric backbone which may be derivatized with chemical groups that exhibit ionic (amines, carboxyls), hydrophobic, and ligand-binding interactions to form the matrix of the formulation. The various matrices may be mixed with additives or modifiers, grafted, or fused to obtain optimal properties. Abstract: The various embodiments herein provide a nano silicon carrier as a drug delivery mechanism.
