Abstract: Disclosed is an elastic fiber treatment agent that contains at least one smoothing agent selected from the group consisting of mineral oils, silicone oils, and ester oils and at least one naturally derived ingredient selected from the group consisting of terpene resins and terpene resin derivatives. Also disclosed is an elastic fiber treatment agent that contains at least one smoothing agent selected from the group consisting of mineral oils, silicone oils, and ester oils and at least one naturally derived ingredient selected from the group consisting of rosins and rosin derivatives. In one aspect, the smoothing agent includes a mineral oil and the mineral oil content of the smoothing agent (A) is 59.5% to 95% by mass.

Abstract: The lubricant system of the present disclosure comprises an engine oil comprising at least one additive chosen from a viscosity index improver, a dispersant, a detergent, an antioxidant, and an antiwear compound; a transmission fluid comprising at least one additive chosen from a dispersant and a pour-point depressant; and a gear oil comprising at least one additive chosen from a viscosity index improver, an extreme pressure agent, and a dispersant. There is also disclosed a method of improving fuel economy of a vehicle comprising providing to the vehicle the disclosed lubricant system.

Abstract: Sulphur-containing substances are derived from mono- or polyethylenic hydrocarbons by sulphurization using elemental sulphur in the presence of an alkali metal carbonate or bicarbonate and in the presence of water and/or at least one alkyleneglycol.The sulphur-containing substances, which may contain 20% to 70% by weight of sulphur, are generally soluble in lubricants to improve antiwear and extreme pressure properties. They can also be used as sulphurization agents, in particular for preparing catalysts for refining petroleum products.
