Abstract: The present invention provides a water-soluble lubricating oil including a water-soluble base (A) and a corrosion inhibitor (B). The water-soluble base (A) contains at least one polyether (A1). A 0.1% by weight aqueous solution of the water-soluble lubricating oil has a surface tension of 31 mN/m or higher.
Abstract: The invention provides a lubricating composition containing an oil of lubricating viscosity and an ashless ketone compound with at least one of a hydroxy group and an ether linkage attached to the carbon atom adjacent to the carbonyl carbon of the ketone, especially ?-hydroxyketone. The invention further relates to methods of lubricating an internal combustion engine by supplying the described lubricating composition to the internal combustion engine. The invention further relates to the use of the ?-hydroxyketone compound as a friction modifier and an antiwear agent.

Abstract: A penetrating lubricant with the capacity to offer a both penetration into rust and corrosion. Further, this lubricant actively penetrates the crystalline surface of the metal while exhibiting extreme pressure lubrication, non-migrating with lasting protection. Further lubricant exhibits dielectric strength of over 8000 volts, at the same time cleaning electrical contacts, thereby reducing resistance and associated heat. The preferred embodiment may contain alpha-olefins, low-odor aromatic solvents, base oils, and high flash mineral spirits.
Abstract: The present invention relates to a lubricant composition. The present invention more particularly relates to a fully miscible lubricant composition that comprise a polyether and a renewable raw material such as an unsaturated seed or vegetable oil.

Abstract: A lubricant composition, which comprises a fluoro-oil, a powdery fluororesin thickener, and Ca salt or Na salt of aromatic sulfonic acid or saturated aliphatic dicarboxylic acid as a rust-inhibitive additive, where the thickener is in a proportion of 10-40% by weight, and the additive is in a proportion of 0.3-10% by weight, on the basis of total weight of the composition, the balance being the fluoro-oil. The lubricant composition containing the powdery fluororesin in an appropriate admixing proportion as a thickener in the fluoro oil has a distinguished rust inhibition, particularly even after having being subjected to heat hysteresis, where a perfluoropolyether oil is usually used as a fluoro-oil.
Abstract: A method for reducing the viscosity and toluene equivalence of an oil containing asphaltenes comprises the steps of: a) mixing with the oil, a polar solvent, and an asphaltene dispersant additive wherein the weight ratio of oil:polar solvent is in the range of 10:0.1 to 10:5, the asphaltene dispersant additive is at a treat rate in the range of 0.025 to 5 weight percent based on the weight of the oil, and then, b) removing at least 90 wt % of the polar solvent from the mixture of oil, polar solvent and the asphaltene dispersant additive to provide upgraded oil with reduced viscosity and toluene equivalence.

Abstract: Antifoam compositions for functional fluids contain antifoam agents comprising perfluoropolyether compounds (PFPE). An automatic transmission fluid is provided containing the antifoam composition in a lubricating base oil, along with conventional additives such as antiwear agents. Automobile transmissions are provided that contain an automatic transmission fluid containing the new antifoam compositions. In a further embodiment, methods are provided for reducing foam in an engine oil or unwanted noise in an automobile transmission during operation, comprising lubricating the engine or transmission with a lubricating fluid containing the antifoam compositions of the invention.

Abstract: The present disclosure relates to a lubricating composition usable for lubricating an interface between a tire and a safety support mounted on a wheel rim within said tire, and a mounted assembly for an automobile provided with said lubricating composition. The lubricating composition according to the invention comprises an aqueous or non aqueous lubricating agent, and a polysaccharide intended to thicken said lubricating agent. The lubricating agent comprises glycerine in a mass fraction equal to or greater than about 60% of the lubricating agent and the lubricating agent is present in said composition in a mass fraction of between about 95% and 99%. The invention also relates to the lubrication between the support and the tire when traveling on a flat tire, following a drop in inflation pressure within said tire.
Abstract: The present invention is a lubricant composition, composed of a lubricant base oil containing: a (poly)glyceryl ether represented by the following general formula (1)
