Mixture Of Salt Of Carboxylic Acid Of Six Or Fewer Carbons With Salt Of Carboxylic Acid Of More Than Six Carbons, Or Complexes Of Such Mixtures Patents (Class 508/535)
Abstract: A lubricant composition includes a base lubricant and a plurality of lubricant additive molecules. Each molecule includes a surface active group attractable to a target surface, wherein the surface active group comprises a carboxyl group, a siloxyl group, an amine group, or a mixture thereof, and a carbon containing component connected to the surface active group, wherein the carbon containing component comprises a carbon ring, wherein the surface active group and the carbon containing component are adapted such that the carbon film is formed in situ on the target surface of the target machine only when tribological energy activates the lubricant additive to unravel the carbon containing component under a pressure and a temperature during operation.

Abstract: Lubricating grease compositions have a titanium complex grease component along with a mineral/synthetic oil-based component and a conventional soap or grease. The conventional soaps and greases may be lithium complex, calcium sulfonate, or aluminum complex-based, among others, with and without additives. The compositions are high performance geases, exhibiting improved drop point, extreme pressure, antiwear, oil separation, and shelf life properties.
Abstract: Grease precursors of overbased alkaline earth metal carboxylates are prepared by reacting an alkaline earth metal base and a carboxylic acid in the presence of a hydrocarbon liquid, a polyol and an alcohol. The resulting grease precursor has amorphous calcium carbonate and a calcite content of greater than 10% by weight. At least one converting agent is added to the grease precursor containing elevated levels of calcite. This mixture is heated followed by the removal of water to form calcite-containing greases having a calcite content greater than 12.5% by weight.
Abstract: Disclosed are a method for manufacturing an outsole for shoes without applying an external mold release agent or mold lubricant onto a mold, and a formulating composition used at manufacturing a rubber outsole. One composition of an internal mold lubricant for manufacturing an outsole for use in footwears is consisting of highly branched hydrocarbon having molecular weight of 400 to 2800, carboxylic acid, metal salts of carboxylic acids, and phospholipids containing heat stable lecithin, Another composition of an internal mold lubricant for manufacturing an outsole for Use in footwears Is consisting of branched hydrocarbon having molecular weight of 800 to 2000, carboxylic acid, long chain carboxylic acids having molecular weight of 200 to 800, metal complex of rang chain carboxylic acids having molecular weight of 200 to 800, and ionomer.
Abstract: A lubricating grease composition includes from 2 to 20% by weight of titanium alkoxide; from 2 to 20% by weight of carboxylic acid other than fatty acid; from 5.0 to 35.0% by weight of fatty acids; from 0.0 to 5.0% by weight of water; from 20 to 90% by weight of oil selected from the group consisting of mineral and synthetic oil; and from 0.01 to 50% of performance additives.
