Abstract: A method of lubrication of the passage of a cementitious composition through a conduit, comprising the addition to the conduit prior to addition thereto of the cementitious composition of an aqueous solution of a solid lubricating composition consisting essentially of (i) an alkali metal carbonate or bicarbonate, (ii) poly(ethylene oxide), and (iii) anionic sulphate surfactant. The use of this composition allows the convenient achievement of flow, without the necessity to mix sometimes substantial quantities of cement slurry in situ.
Abstract: A tractor hydraulic fluid composition is prepared from an isomerized base oil which: a) the product itself, its fraction, or feed originates from or is produced at some stage by isomerization of a waxy feed from a Fischer-Tropsch process (“Fischer-Tropsch derived base oils”); or b) made from a substantially paraffinic wax feed (“waxy feed”). In one embodiment, the tractor hydraulic fluid composition is characterized as having a reduced level of viscosity modifier in an amount of 0 to 10 wt. %, and a Brookfield viscosity at ?35° C. of less than 70,000 mPa.s.

Abstract: The invention provides methods for preparing a blended lube base oils comprising at least one highly paraffinic Fischer Tropsch lube base stocks and at least one base stock composed of alkylaromatics, alkylcycloparaffins, or mixtures thereof. The use of base stocks composed of alkylaromatics, alkylcycloparaffins, or mixtures thereof improves the yield of lube base oils from Fischer Tropsch facilities, as well as provides moderate improvements in physical properties including additive solubility. The invention provides processes for obtaining such blended lube base oils using the products of Fischer Tropsch processes.
Abstract: A process for preparing Fischer-Tropsch derived lubricating base oils by blending a Fischer-Tropsch distillate fraction having a viscosity of 2 or greater but less than 3 cSt at 100 degrees C. with at least one additional Fischer-Tropsch derived distillate fraction having a viscosity of greater than 3.8 cSt at 100 degrees C.; lubricating base oil compositions having a viscosity between about 3 and about 10 cSt at 100 degrees C. and a TGA Noack volatility of less than about 35 weight percent; and finished lubricants using the aforesaid lubricating base oils.

Abstract: The invention concerns new lubricants comprising a combination of a polyethylene oxide and an oligomer amide and an improved metallurgical powder composition comprising a major amount of an iron-based powder and a minor amount of this new lubricant. Furthermore, the invention concerns a method requiring low ejection force and low ejection energy for producing green products having high green strength. The method comprises the steps of mixing an iron-based powder and optional additives with the new lubricant and compacting the obtained powder composition.
Abstract: A food container conveyor device having improved lubricant properties can be lubricated using a lubricant composition that can become ingested by a user from a food or a container for the food, can come into incidental contact or direct content with a food composition, can be incorporated at measurable concentrations into the food, or can be used generally on food conveyor surfaces wherein the food is exposed to the lubricant. Such lubricant compositions can be formulated in aqueous or non-aqueous compositions containing approved lubricant ingredients. Food containers lubricated using the compositions of the invention can be distributed to the public even in the substantial occurrence of contact between the food composition and the approved lubricant materials.
