Abstract: An aqueous compressed gas aerosol formulation in combination with a lined steel can, which may also optionally be tin plated, to provide corrosion stability, fragrance stability and color stability. An aerosol formulation of particular advantage for use is an air and/or fabric treatment formulation. The combination provides a compatibility which allows for the ability to use a broader fragrance pallet for the air and/or fabric treatment formulation which is aqueous based in major proportion. The formulation includes, in addition to an aqueous carrier, a fragrance, nonionic surfactant(s) or a blend of nonionic surfactant(s) and cationic surfactant(s), a compressed gas propellant(s), pH adjuster(s), and corrosion inhibitor(s). The formulation has a pH of about 8 to less than 10. The corrosion inhibitor(s) is(are) mild in strength and used in a minor amount.
Abstract: This invention relates to a foaming enzyme composition and delivery method useful for the cleaning and maintenance of moist conditions of the surfaces of soiled instruments, utensils and other devices prior to final cleaning and/or sterilization. The aqueous composition preferably consists of a combination of: (1) an enzyme cleaning solution, (2) foam-building ingredients; (3) a corrosion inhibitor; and (4) an antimicrobial agent. The composition may be dispensed from a pump spray as a stable foam which covers the surfaces of the instrument to be cleaned, and remains on the surface of the instrument for at least 30 minutes, and preferably until the instruments are finally cleaned and sterilized. The composition and delivery method of the present invention is particularly useful for the pre-cleaning of complex medical instruments such as endoscopes.

Abstract: Alkaline aqueous hard surface cleaning compositions which exhibit good cleaning efficacy against hardened dried or baked on greasy soil deposits. They are storage stable, and are not undesirably irritating to the skin or mucous tissues of the user. These compositions comprise in percent by weight (based on 100% total weight of a composition):0.01-0.85% wt. nonionic surfactant compound based on an amine oxide;0-1.5% wt. chelating agent;0.01-2.5% wt. caustic;3.0-9.0% wt. glycol ether solvent system comprising one glycol ether or glycol ether acetate solvent having a solubility in water of not more than 20% wt., and a second glycol ether or glycol ether acetate having a solubility of approximately 100% wt., wherein the ratio of the former to the latter is from 0.5:1 to 1.5:1;0-5.0% wt. of a water soluble amine containing organic compound;0-2.5% wt. soil anti-redeposition agent;0-2.5% wt. optional constituents.
