  • Publication number: 20120071384
Abstract: The invention discloses synergistic combinations of surfactants blends and cleaning composition. In certain embodiments a surfactant system is disclosed which includes extended anionic surfactants, linker surfactants, and a multiply charged cation component. This system forms emulsions with, and can remove greasy and oily stains, even those comprised of non-trans fats. In another embodiment anionic surfactants are combined with a solvent, and amine oxide to remove sunscreen stains. The compositions may be used alone, as a pre-spotter or other pre-treatment or as a part of a soft surface or hard surface cleaning composition.

  • Patent number: 6147043
Abstract: In machine dishwashing using low-alkaline detergents, the protection of silver was to be guaranteed. This was achieved by using 3-amino-5-alkyl-1,2,4-triazoles and salts thereof as silver protectors in machine dishwashing detergents. In addition, the dishwashing detergents may contain bleaching agents and builders.

  • Patent number: 5531934
Abstract: The present invention provides a method of inhibiting corrosion of ferrous metals in aqueous systems. The corrosion is inhibited by adding an effective amount of one or more poly(amino acids) to the aqueous system. Aqueous systems include for example water treatment systems and equipment used for detergent applications. The poly(amino acids) comprise a reaction product of at least one compound selected from amino acids, amic acids, ammonium salts of monoethylenically unsaturated dicarboxylic acids, ammonium salts of hydroxypolycarboxylic acids and combinations thereof. In one embodiment the poly(amino acids) are added to detergent solutions to inhibit corrosion in equipment for detergent applications. In another embodiment, corrosion inhibitors comprising one or more homopolymers of amino acids and one or more pyrophosphates are added to aqueous systems to inhibit corrosion.
