Abstract: A stable aqueous detergent composition, comprising: (a) about 5.70% of detergent active matter selected from the group consisting of anionic, nonionic, cationic, amphoteric, and zwitterionic surfactants; (b) about 1-60% of one or more electrolytes; and (c) about 0.01-5% of at least one hydrophilic copolymer comprising hydrophilic monomer and oxyethylated monomer. In particular, the hydrophilic copolymer is of a structure represented by ##STR1## wherein the above-stated substituents are defined herein.

Abstract: Detergent compositions having good filming/streaking characteristics contain effective amounts of specific substantive materials to increase the hydrophilicity of the glass. Preferred formulas contain a amphoteric, including zwitterionic, and optionally, but preferably, anionic detergent surfactant at levels (e.g., from about 0.02 to about 15%); hydrophobic solvent; alkaline material, especially volatile alkaline materials comprising monoethanolamine or certain beta-amino-alkanol compounds; and salt of polycarboxylate, preferably polyacrylate, polymer at effective levels (e.g., from about 0.01% to about 10%, by weight of the composition).
Abstract: Detergent compositions containing conventional detergent surfactants, detergent builders, and the like, and a chelant selected from ethylenediamine-N,N'-diglutaric acid (EDDG) and 2-hydroxypropylenediamine-N,N'-disuccinic acid (HPDDS) are disclosed. Such compositions provide enhanced removal of organic stains, such as food and beverage stains. The EDDG and HPDDS are biodegradable and contain no phorphorus.
Abstract: A liquid duty liquid microemulsion composition comprises a mixture of a secondary alkane sulfonate surfactant, an alkyl ether polyethenoxy sulfate surfactant, an anionic biodegradable surfactant, a cosurfactant, a perfume or water insoluble hydrocarbon and water.
Abstract: Aqueous, liquid hard surface detergent compositions having improved cleaning and good filming/streaking characteristics contain specific polycarboxylate detergent builders at critical levels. Preferred formulas contain a zwitterionic/anionic detergent surfactant mixture at levels (e.g., from about 0.02 to about 15%); hydrophobic solvent; alkaline material, especially volatile alkaline materials comprising monoethanolamine or certain beta-amino-alkanol compounds; and salt of ethylenediaminetetraacetic acid as the detergent builder in levels (e.g., from about 0.05% to about 0.5%, by weight of the composition).
