Continuous Gas Or Vapor Phase Colloid System (e.g., Fog Dispelling, Dust Or Contrail Suppressing) Patents (Class 516/114)
  • Patent number: 8978683
Abstract: A method of reducing the downward flow of air currents on the leeward side of an emissions emitting structure including the step of using a system that includes components chosen from the group consisting of one or more mechanical air moving devices; physical structures; and combinations thereof to create an increase in the air pressure within a volume of air on the leeward side of an emissions emitting structure having emissions that become airborne. The increased air pressure prevents or lessens downward flow of emissions that would occur without the use of the system and increases the safety by which one can travel a road or other transportation route that might otherwise be visually obscured by the emissions and the safety of the property and those within the area where emissions occur.

Abstract: Methods and systems for promoting precipitation from moisture-bearing atmospheric formations are described. A composition comprising a precipitation stimulating material and a volatile liquid agent is located on an aircraft and subject to one or more aircraft-generated pressures during aspersion. A first pressure is a pressure for expelling the composition from the aircraft. A second pressure results from combination between air and aircraft velocity. A third pressure is an ascending pressure resulting from expelling the composition from the aircraft at a lift portion location of the aircraft where only a lift force is applied to the aircraft during flight.

  • Publication number: 20090220620
Abstract: A functional fluid for the removal of contaminates such as but not limited to, acid causing components in gas, sulfur components and carbon oxides from fluid streams, and removal and treatment of NOX & SOX from post combustion emissions. Also described is the manufacturing process to produce the functional fluid both in a batch atmospheric process system as well as a closed system capable of operating at above or below atmospheric conditions.

  • Patent number: 6680284
Abstract: For the preparation of pulverulent particle-reduced formulations with the aid of compressed gases, the solid compound to be formulated, a poorly soluble and usually bioactive active compound, is homogeneously ground together with 10-99% by weight (based on the formulation) of a carrier material which is essentially soluble in the compressed gas mixture, in the presence of compressed gas or mixtures thereof in a stirred autoclave having a mechanical grinding device at process temperatures between 10 and 200° C. and at process pressures between 5 and 500 bar, and in a second process stage the compressed gas mixture, usually dimethyl ether, pure propane and/or carbon dioxide, is expanded by lowering the pressure and separated off from the homogenate, which can also be present as a melt.

  • Publication number: 20020031807
Abstract: The present invention relates to the identification of novel cysteine proteases in Gram-positive microorganisms. The present invention provides the nucleic acid and amino acid sequences for the Bacillus subtilis cysteine proteases CP1, CP2 and CP3. The present invention also provides host cells having a mutation or deletion of part or all of the gene encoding CP1, CP2 or CP3. The present invention also provides host cells further comprising nucleic acid encoding desired heterologous proteins such as enzymes. The present invention also provides a cleaning composition comprising a cysteine protease of the present invention.
