  • Patent number: 12325773
Abstract: A defoamer or anti-foam formulation and a process for preparing the same. The process includes in a first step, preparing branched organopolysiloxanes (A) by irradiating organopolysiloxanes (X) of the formula (1) R13-a(R2O)aSi—[OSiR32]n—OSi(OR2)aR13-a ??(1). Where with high-energy radiation, the viscosity of the organopolysiloxanes (A) is at least 40% higher than the viscosity of the organopolysiloxanes (X). In a second step, the branched organopolysiloxanes (A) are treated with a filler (B) which is selected from precipitated and/or fumed silicas, and organopolysiloxane resins (C).

  • Patent number: 10765970
Abstract: The present invention relates to a defoamer oil compound that contains an organopolysiloxane (A), a fine silica powder (B), and a group (C) that is represented by the organopolysiloxanes of formulas (I) and/or (II) (in the formulas, c, d, and e are each an integer of 0 or more, and at least one of X1 to X3 is the group represented by formula (i)). The component (C) is used as a surface treatment agent for the component (B). The present invention makes it possible to obtain a silicone-based defoamer composition that imparts good initial defoaming properties even in an alkaline foaming liquid, that exhibits very little loss in performance over time, and that has excellent defoaming performance.

  • Publication number: 20130309498
Abstract: A granulated product comprises a liquid organosilicon compound supported on a particulate carrier which is agglomerated into granules by a binder. A process for the production of a granulated product comprises depositing an organosilicon compound and a binder in a liquid state on a particulate carrier and subjecting the carrier thus treated to conditions in which the binder is solidified, thereby agglomerating carrier particles into granules. The particulate carrier is anhydrous sodium sulfate of mean particle size 1 to 40 ?m.
