  • Patent number: 7226501
Abstract: The present invention relates to an aqueous quick-setting bitumen-aggregate mix suitable for cold pavement of roads, parking places, sidewalks and the like. The bitumen-aggregate mix is manufactured by mixing a mineral aggregate, water, a de-emulsifier, containing hydraulic cement, and a cationic oil-in-water bitumen emulsion, containing, as an emulsifier, a salt of a tertiary diamine and a phosphoric acid. The diamine has the formula (I), where one or two of the groups R1, R2, R4 and R5 designate a hydrocarbon group of 6–22, preferably 8–20 carbon atoms, and the remaining R1, R2, R4 and R5 groups are an alkyl group with 1–4 carbon atoms, and/or a group —(A)2H, where A is an alkyleneoxy group with 2–3 carbon atoms, and s is a number from 1–4, R3 is an alkylene group with 2–4 carbon atoms and n is a number from 0–2.

  • Patent number: 6828352
Abstract: The present invention relates to synthetic, novel, preferably fatty phosphoric acid esters which, when neutralized with a neutralizing agent, is revealed as a new surface active agent. Formulations are presented which demonstrate a method for using the disclosed surface active agent to prepare stable oil-in-water, water-in-oil emulsions and various solutions of varying polarity and viscosity for use in a variety of dermatological applications, and/or wherever emulsions or solutions according to the present invention may be used.

  • Patent number: 6593376
Abstract: A process for preparing amphiphilic compounds having at least two hydrophilic and at least two hydrophobic groups by reacting an olefinic substrate having at least two double bonds with an organic hydroperoxide to form an oxirane ring, opening, the oxirane ring with an alcohol in the presence of a catalyst system comprising a molybdenum compound as a first catalyst component and a second catalyst component selected from the group consisting of boron trifluoride, alumina, 1,8-diazzabicyclo-(5.4.0)-undec-7-ene, 1,4-diazabicyclo-(2,2,2)-octane.
