Abstract: A system includes a processing system and memory system configured to apply a building detection model to identify a footprint of a building based on a first dataset. The building characterization model is applied to identify one or more derived characteristics of the building based on the footprint. A building area is determined based on the footprint and at least one of the one or more derived characteristics of the building. A record is created including an indicator of a geographic area, the building area, and the one or more derived characteristics of the building. A processing request is generated based on the record. One or more derived characteristics of the building are compared with one or more corresponding values of property data from a third-party data source to identify a mismatch. A data accuracy verification request is output based on the mismatch.

Abstract: A modular roundabout or traffic calming system with interlocking connectors and a method of installation utilize a plurality of boards arranged in a pattern on a ground surface at an intersection of vehicle roadways, the pattern including one or both of a central island and a splitter island. At least some of the boards forming a perimeter of the pattern are affixed to the ground surface. At least some of the boards forming interior boards are interconnected at adjacent edges with connectors. The connectors can include a hinge joint so that the interconnected boards can be folded or rolled. A kit for a modular roundabout or traffic calming system is also provided.

Abstract: An ecological city system is provided including a core structure and a set of circularly arranged structures having various functions surrounding the core. A plurality of radially arranged transportation structures provide transportation between the circularly arranged structures and the core structure. The ecological city system sustains inhabitant life via a closed loop system for maximizing ecological sustainability, ecological harmony, inhabitant safety, and economic performance and efficiency.

Abstract: A residential subdivision layout for high density developments is disclosed which includes placing residential buildings on lots in a configuration such that the front facade of the residential buildings faces a common area, preferably a green space, while the rear facade of the buildings includes a vehicle garage entrance and faces a vehicle passageway. A private courtyards are included between residential buildings on adjacent lots, preferably, on forward portions of the lots between residential buildings such that the courtyards are near, and within visual sight of the common area, but separated from it by a privacy barrier, such as a fence or shrubbery. Preferred configurations not only provide a usable and private outside areas in view of a common space, but create openings between the buildings that allow natural light to enter the interior of the buildings through windows adjacent to the courtyards.

Abstract: A structure and its adjacent group-segregated outdoor spaces or an arrangement of structures and their adjacent group-segregated outdoor spaces includes at least one structure comprising at least one a unit and at least one b unit. The areas adjacent to the structure or structures are physically separated into a first group-segregated outdoor space and a second group-segregated outdoor space. The first group-segregated outdoor space is associated with the at least one a unit. The second group-segregated outdoor space is associated with the at least one b unit. The areas adjacent to the structure or structures are physically separated by a barrier, whereby the barrier at least partly limits visibility and access between the first and second segregated outdoor areas.

Abstract: A method is provided for mitigation of aircraft bird strikes through the provision of conditions on the ground that totally prevents the formation of atmospheric thermals in the proximity of airports and airfields, whereby conflicts between soaring and migratory birds and aircrafts may be avoided. This is accomplished by modification of the topography of the field into a plurality of zones, as described herein and through construction of high albedo pavements, roads, artificial turfs and cool terrains.

A residential terrace is no lower than the market terrace. The residential terrace has residences.

Abstract: A walkable community subdivision is provided with a plurality of traffic circles. Each traffic circle can contain one or more playgrounds or parks. A plurality of development circles containing one or more buildings or playgrounds. The outer circles of the subdivision are graded toward a center of the community such that storm water run-off is directed to a center circle, which has a storm water storage capacity. Thus eliminating the use of storm water drainage pipes in the community.

Abstract: A reconfigurable barrier system (10) includes a plurality of support units (100) spaced one from the other, with each support unit (100) having at least one engagement section (110) defining an elongate channel (112). System (10) further includes at least one retention unit (200) that is substantially impervious to liquid, and is supported to extend between a pair of support units (100). Each retention unit (200) is formed with a pair of opposed engagement portions (212) which slidably engage respective ones of the support unit channels (112). Abstract: The present invention discloses a residential housing unit that is flexible to serve the changing needs in a family life cycle by providing two living units connected by common space. Each living unit is self-sufficient in that it may contain all the amenities necessary for independent living. Each living unit may be built on its own real estate lot and may be financed separately for ease in buying and selling. The common space may be built so as to divide the property line and may further comprise a removable, common wall.

Abstract: A method constructs a concrete building slab by loosening the soil on which the concrete building slab is to be constructed to at least a predetermined loosening depth so as to expand the soil upwards, driving a plurality of piles into the soil in predetermined respective locations to a predetermined founding depth, and subsequently forming a concrete slab on the loose soil to be supported by the piles.

Abstract: The present invention provides a movable defensive apparatus in which a dedicated source of power for driving a relatively heavy defensive wall and an installation space are not required, whereby entry of a mob, a runaway vehicle, and the like, can be prevented, the entry of rainwater, and the like, can also be prevented to some extent. The movable defensive apparatus includes a defensive wall (2) disposed in the vicinity of a doorway (O•I) of a site (G), such as a house, and an installation in the vicinity of a doorway (O•I), a window or the like, of a building for preventing rainwater and undesirable entry of objects, such as a mob or a runaway vehicle from entering the site (g) or a building. Abstract: The flush mount breakaway post coupler is a coupler for connecting a post to a ground anchor. The coupler has an upper section and a lower section. The upper section has a socket for receiving a post, a shear section, and an anchor attachment portion for attachment to the lower section. The shear section is hollow and cylindrical and has an groove defined about its exterior so that the wall of the shear section is thin, fracture of the coupler occurring around the annular groove. The lower section is an expansion anchor having a threaded bore for receiving a bolt, the lower section being placed in a tubular ground anchor, or a hole defined in the ground. The socket has a bottom wall, and a cylindrical bore extends through the shear section to a predetermined base in the anchor attachment portion. A bolt hole extends from the base of the bore through the anchor attachment section. A bolt connects the upper and lower sections so that the coupler is wedged into the tubular ground anchor as the bolt is tightened.

Abstract: A retaining wall block that includes three textured outer face surfaces and can be divided into a pair of sub-blocks of different sizes that are configured to be compatible with each other for use in the construction of a retaining wall having a random appearance. The retaining wall block has three textured outer face surfaces of varying lengths and when the retaining wall block is separated into its sub-blocks, each of the sub-blocks define two additional textured face surfaces of different lengths. The main retaining wall block is capable of creating individual wall blocks having one of six different face surface lengths.

Abstract: A multi-story apartment or condominium building complex includes one or more vehicle parking levels above or below grade and one or more dwelling unit levels vertically stacked above the vehicle parking levels. At least one of the parking levels includes private garages for at least selected ones of the dwelling units and occupants of the selected dwelling units may move between their garage and their dwelling unit through an interior corridor at the parking level and an elevator extending directly to the individual dwelling units on each level. The elevators may serve one, two or several dwelling units on each dwelling unit level. A service corridor is provided on each dwelling unit level which may be accessed by a service elevator or spaced apart stairways to provide secondary access between each dwelling unit level and street level.

Abstract: A pole assembly includes two parts—a hollow stub foundation and a hollow pole, which telescopes over the stub foundation and rests on the ground. The stub and the pole preferably are adhered together. The stub preferably has a roughened outer surface at least in its upper portion to help it adhere to the inner surface of the pole when the two are assembled together. The stub has access openings to facilitate running wiring through the stub into the pole, and the pole preferably has an access opening that is aligned with an opening in the stub when the pole is installed on the stub to provide access for connecting wiring running inside the stub to wiring running inside the pole.
