    Abstract: Some embodiments of the present disclosure provide a roof component of a railway vehicle, and a railway vehicle. The roof component of a railway vehicle includes: two upper boundary beams, the two upper boundary beams being provided at an interval; a camber beam component, the camber beam component being provided between the two upper boundary beams; and a transitional structure, provided on the camber beam component, the transitional structure being connected with at least one of the two upper boundary beams. The technical solution of the present disclosure solves the problem in the conventional art of inconvenient connection between a camber beam component and an upper boundary beam, and a transitional structure of the present application facilitates processing and forming.

An inner panel is attached to the core and the rim members so as to cover the inner surface of the core.

The method of converting the three-hopper rail car to the two-hopper rail car includes: severing the three-hopper rail car into a first end section, a second end section and a center section that includes the center hopper and a portion of an adjacent hopper; removing the center section; and attaching the first end section to the second end section.

    Abstract: The present invention includes an improved tubular skylight system (10) having a clear acrylic outer dome (20), an aluminum flashing (40), an aluminum light tube (60), an aluminum ceiling plaster ring (80), and a prismatic diffuser (100). The outer dome (20) includes an aluminum ring (24) around the base (22) of the dome (20) which contains a circular channel (32) and holes (34). The aluminum ring (24) allows the outer acrylic dome (20) to be attached directly to the flashing (40) thereby substantially decreasing the risk of crack formation in the acrylic dome (20). Moreover, the surface of the acrylic dome (20) is imprinted to refract, a substantially increased amount of the natural light down into the light tube (60). The lower end (64) of the light tube (60) extends to the inside of the ceiling and sits on the plaster ring (80). The upper end (62) of the light tube (60) is reciprocally received in the flashing (40), but the outer dome (20) attaches directly to the flashing (40).
