Having A Passageway Through The Entire Wall, Ceiling, Or Floor Thickness (e.g., Poke-through) Patents (Class 52/220.8)
  • Patent number: 12241578
Abstract: A method of assembling conduit section in a building or like structure includes providing a first conduit section within an associated concrete slab, and adhering a connector sleeve to the first conduit section before concrete is deposited about the first conduit section and the connector sleeve. Concrete is deposited to a grade level generally at the same height as the connector sleeve. A coupling element having upper and lower section is next adhered to the connector sleeve so that the coupling element extends above the concrete slab. An associated second conduit sections or the like can then be efficiently joined to the upper section of the coupling element, to thereby join the second conduit section, positioned above the concrete slab, to the first conduit section positioned within the slab.

Abstract: A poke-through pathway device positionable extending through an opening in building panel, such as a wall, ceiling or floor, which defines a duct through which penetrating members, such as cables or wiring may be placed to extend through a building panel wherein the pathway device provides a limited level of protection against fire, heat, smoke or sound being transmitted or traveling therethrough. The present invention provides a limited low level of fire resistance along with some resistance to the transmission of smoke, heat or sound through the duct in those applications where a fully fire-rated device is not required. The present invention includes a two-piece outer housing assembly and with a two-piece inner housing assembly that are telescopically movable with respect to one another for adjustable positioning thereof through building panels of various thicknesses. A two-piece elastomeric wedge seal is positionable on each side of the interior of the inner housing to facilitating sealing.

Abstract: The embodiments herein disclose a method and system for fabricating a non load bearing partition wall with an internal cavity having partition. The non load bearing partition wall comprises at-least two pre-cast concrete panels arranged in back to back fashion. The pre-cast concrete panel comprises several ribs for enhancing the stiffness matrix. The two ribs are adopted at the two opposite edges of the pre-cast concrete panel and one rib is adopted at the center. The non load bearing partition wall comprises a cavity formed between the pre-cast concrete wall panels. The cavity uses the concept of monolithic property to prevent bending along the width and length, with a special method of anchorage. The panel comprises an inbuilt duct facility to add service fixtures and also to allow for modifications after installation.

Abstract: A sleeve is provided for protecting wire or cable which is run through an aperture in a stud. The sleeve includes a slit which runs longitudinally along the length of the sleeve for receiving a wire or cable and an opening at each end to allow for entrance and exit of the wire or cable. Extended portions of the sleeve on each end further protect the enclosed wire or cable. A weakened bend line which runs longitudinally along the length of the sleeve and opposite the slit in the sleeve allows the sleeve to be easily bent by hand compression along the bend line so that the sleeve can be easily installed around the wire or cable without the use of any hand tools.

Abstract: A system, device, and method for plugging core holes. A core hole plug includes a top compression plate, a bottom compression plate, and a rubber expansion ring that separates the top and bottom compression plates. A beveled screw hole can be created on the top compression plate. The beveled screw hole matches the angle of bottom surface of the head of a flat head bolt to ensure that the bolt remains flush with the top compression plate. The rubber expansion ring can be squeezed between the top and bottom compression plates as the flat head bolt is screwed into a threaded receiver nut formed on the bottom compression plate. An installation tool can be utilized to install the core hole plug so that the top compression plate remains flush with an existing floor surface.
