The assembly profile (3)is provided with two, upwardly directed and mainly parallel cheeks (31) which cheeks (31) are intended to clutch the base member (40) whereby the cover profile (4) can be continuously adapted to height variations in the subfloor, by allowing turning around the pivot axle (41).Type: GrantFiled: June 27, 2002Date of Patent: June 8, 2004Assignee: Pergo (Europe) ABInventor: Sven Kornfalt

Patent number: 6662518Abstract: The present invention provides a device for transitioning between a first floor covering and a second floor covering wherein the transition device includes an elongated core and a covering. The elongated core has a top, a bottom, opposing sides and opposing ends. The covering is attached to the elongated core and covers the top and opposing sides of the elongated core. The present invention also provides method for manufacturing the transition device. In addition, the present invention provides a system having an elongated core and a covering as described above. A first floor covering is attached to the floor and abuts one side of the transition device. Similarly, a second floor covering is attached to the floor and abuts the other side of the transition device.Type: GrantFiled: July 24, 2002Date of Patent: December 16, 2003Assignee: Arbor Contract Carpet, Inc.Inventor: Paul H. Patent number: 6652019Abstract: A cargo trailer having thin walls wherein the thin walls consist of a plurality of adjacent overlapping outer plates, a plurality of regularly spaced thin posts and a plurality of thin liner panels between and overlapping the posts. The liner panels are u-shaped plates with flanges on each edge containing holes of equal or alternating diameters. When the liner panels have holes of alternating diameters, the liner panels are fastened to the thin posts and outer plates only by the fasteners in the smaller of the alternating diameter holes, such that the liner can be removed without disassembling the outer plate and post components of the wall. The horizontal distance between the holes in the liner panels is less than the horizontal distance between the holes in the outer plates resulting in the liner panel being stretched when assembled.Type: GrantFiled: September 26, 2001Date of Patent: November 25, 2003Assignee: Utility Trailer Manufacturing CompanyInventor: Jeffrey J. Publication number: 20030079426Abstract: A method and apparatus for sealing the joints, using a unified protective joint cap, of jointed building panel systems having a plurality of building panels. The unified sealing member is applied on top of the jointing means of the panel system wherein no modifications or alternations of the jointing means is required. As such, the protective joint cap may be applied directly to a jointing system in need of repair without the requirement of resealing the jointing system. Furthermore, the protective joint cap does not require an anchoring means to be installed prior to application. The protective joint cap further preferably contains an incorporated extrusion suitable for maintaining a bead of liquified elastomeric sealant, such as RTV, which may be applied prior to the sealing member's installation.Type: ApplicationFiled: October 30, 2001Publication date: May 1, 2003Inventor: Steve Riggio

Patent number: 6499265Abstract: An expansion joint cover for bridging an expansion gap between first and second building floor members has a pivot frame adapted to be affixed to the first building floor member, the pivot frame including a base portion and a longitudinally continuous bearing of spherical cross-section supported by and located above the base portion, and a slide frame adapted to be affixed to the second building floor member. A cover unit is pivotally mounted in spaced-apart relation to a proximal end thereof on the bearing in cantilevered relation to the bearing, is adapted to span the gap, and has a distal end supported on the slide frame. A plurality of spaced-apart compression spring units engaged between the base portion of the pivot frame and a portion of the cover unit intermediate the proximal end and the bearing bias the cover unit about the bearing so as to forcibly engage the distal end of the cover unit with the slide frame.Type: GrantFiled: August 28, 2001Date of Patent: December 31, 2002Assignee: Construction Specialties, Inc.Inventor: Thomas A.
