  • Patent number: 7866111
Abstract: Floor laying system for joining together floorboards, including grooves made in opposing side edges of the boards, and a separate profiled rail, which is disposed between the side edges of the boards and couples together the boards and which has legs projecting to opposite sides from a central section of the rail, which legs are designed to lockingly engage in the grooves in the respective opposing side edges of the floorboards. The legs of the profiled rail delimit a channel-shaped cavity which can accommodate at least one line element. The profiled rail has legs, which supportively bear against diagonally opposing beveled faces of the grooves in two adjacent boards, in addition to which a slot running substantially parallel with the top and bottom sides of the respective board opens into the groove to form a resilient tongue.

Upon an impact to the vehicle, the vehicle grille is configured in such a manner that the first and second pieces will break away from each other and move with respect to one another in order to absorb impacts.

  • Patent number: 7444791
Abstract: A locking system to mechanically joins floorboards together. For horizontal mechanical joining, there is a projecting portion with a locking element which cooperates with a locking groove in an adjacent board. A tongue and groove joint for vertical mechanical joining, has coopering upper abutment surfaces and cooperating lower abutment surfaces which are essentially parallel with the principal plane of the floorboards and of which the lower abutment surfaces are positioned essentially outside the outer vertical plane, i.e. displaced relative to the upper abutment surfaces. The tongue is movable at an angle into the groove and the locking element is insertable into the locking groove by mutual angular movement of the boards about the joint edges.

Abstract: The present invention discloses a method of constructing a modular framing system where orthogonal frames are arranged adjacent to one another with their corresponding edges positioned next to one another. Each frame is formed from two horizontal and two vertical frame elements. A plurality of locks is inter-disposed between the adjacent vertical frame elements, each with a frame slot. At least two locks are double-locking type, one inter-disposed between the top sections of the vertical frame elements and the other between the bottom sections of the vertical frame elements. A plurality of locks is single-locking type, which is equi-distantly installed along the length of one vertical frame element in between the two double locks. The double locks lock both adjacent vertical frame elements. One side of the single locks lock only one vertical frame element and the other side inserts into the frame slot of the adjacent vertical frame element.

Abstract: An interlock connector (10) for interlocking stackable building blocks (26). The blocks are provided with apertures (32), such as grooves, on their top and bottom surfaces. The connector comprises a main body which includes two separate and vertically superimposed body portions and is interposed between two stacked blocks with each body portion disposed in a respective groove (32). One body portion is pivotable with respect to another, with a vertical pivot axis that is offset from the central vertical axis of the main body, so as to be pivotable to positions where the stacked blocks are offset. In another embodiment, the interlock connector comprises a single piece main body having an aperture to receive a projection protruding from the surface of one of the stacked blocks while being disposed in the groove of the other block, with the connector being pivotable about the projection to positions where the stacked blocks are offset.

  • Patent number: 7178297
Abstract: Modular structures constructed from interlocking wall modules made of plate steel and assembled with C-channel connectors, including tongue and groove elements used to position adjoining modules adjacent to one another, for example during the construction of a cell block. The tongue and groove elements ensure all adjacent prison cell modules are properly aligned such that the front fascia of each cell module lies within substantially the same plane. Further, the interlocking of the tongue and groove allows for the quick, cost-effective construction of a schoolroom having double skinned walls in an effort to increase the stability of the structure. Lastly, the interlocking panels may be formed in relatively small sections and then joined together in order to form a larger wall.

Abstract: A constructional panel has a generally rectangular central section and two opposed end sections, each having an isosceles trapezoid part, its short edge conjoined to an edge of the central section and its long edge conjoined to a rectangular part, there being oblique edges extending between the long and short edges. The panel is thus bound by one pair of opposed edges of the central section, the oblique edges of the two end sections, one pair of opposed edges of the rectangular part and a further edge of the rectangular part opposed to that edge conjoined to the trapezoid part. The panel edges are configured for connection to the corresponding edges of like panels to build up an area of panelling. Projecting tabs from some edges are received in corresponding receptors on opposed edges and having lock arrangements, whereby the interengaged panels may be locked together.

  • Patent number: 7021019
Abstract: A panel includes coupling elements arranged so that two panels an be connected to one another by a form-fit connection at the same time in a first direction perpendicular to the common joint and in a second direction parallel and perpendicular to the common surface of the panels. The panels may be used to provide a laminate flooring. The form-fit connection achieves greater security during assembly with reference to any enlargement of cracks and inaccuracies when laying parquet flooring. Laid parquet flooring elements no longer slip relative to one another even when subjected to relatively large stresses, thereby avoiding damage and the need for follow-on work. The coupling element is preferably designed as a separate synthetic material clip in the shape of the letter H.
