    Abstract: A covering element support arrangement for attaching covering elements to a building or building component. The covering element support arrangement has a carrier means for receiving covering elements thereon. The covering element support arrangement further has an attachment means for attaching covering elements to the carrier means. The attachment means involves mechanical fastening means that can be fastened to the carrier means and that are engageable with covering elements to fix the covering elements to the carrier means. The carrier means is formed at least partially from a perforated sheet and the mechanical fastening means is engageable with the perforations. The frequency of the perforations is such that a covering element can be attached to the carrier means without requiring the covering element to be initially aligned relative to any single perforation. This thereby reduces the time required to fit covering elements.

    Abstract: A rebar support is provided through an arm-type apparatus, which may have a plurality of dimensions for different concrete constructions. A tube in the apparatus is slid over an upright support such as a grade stake to hold the apparatus in place. Multiple instances of the apparatus may thus be placed over multiple stakes to hold rebar in the correct position for the grid pattern required to strengthen the concrete in a particular structure. Rebar may then be quickly and securely snapped into notches on the apparatus without tying or extensive training of personnel. In an embodiment different designs of the apparatus are provided with notches designed to fit rebar of different diameters. In another embodiment snap-out tabs in the notches are used so that one design of the apparatus may be employed with rebar with different dimensions. The apparatus may be Y-shaped to further strengthen the arms.

    Abstract: A chair supports rebar or wire mesh during a concrete pour. The chair is box shaped having grooves in the side walls of different width for supporting rebar of different diameter. Notches in the edge of the grooves on opposite sides of the chair support wire mesh of different diameter. The notches are shaped so the wire mesh is snapped into the notch. Wall like braces extend across the inside of the chair and support the grooves from the opposite wall. The larger grooves are on the short sides of the chair to raise the rebar a longer distance off the underlying surface. In a preferred embodiment, the chair provides two elevations for placement of rebar, namely 2″ and 3″ above an underlying surface. Parts of the box are cut away to promote concrete movement through the chair. Slots are provided to allow air trapped in the concrete to escape from the chair.
