Abstract: Linear fluorooligomers having at least two reactive end groups per polymer molecule are incorporated into radiation sensitive polymer systems which have improved continuous temperature resistance and low dielectric constant. The polymer systems can be applied as lacquers. Preferably perfluorated poly-ethers and perfluorated alkanes are used as starting compounds. The polymeric product is usable as a coating for the production of printed multi-layer wirings and economises on through-bores and additional copper intermediate layers. A further field of application exists in the field of integrated semiconductor circuits in VLSI-technology for the production of negative photo-resists.

The filler is dispersed in ethoxylated bisphenol A dimethacrylate resin containing suitable aliphatic dimethacrylate diluents up to about 40% by weight and curing agents effecting curing.
Abstract: An improved transfer printing ink for printing indicia on impervious surfaces, such as glass, is comprised of a liquid resin component comprising one or more liquid acrylate monomers, one or more polyfunctional acrylate monomers, one or more polymeric binders and one or more photoinitiators. The transfer ink also is comprised of a solid component comprising one or more pigment materials and a particulate glass frit mixture. The glass frit mixture consists of a pluality of wetting agents and a frit flux. The wetting agents melt at an elevated temperature to fuse the pigments and the frit flux to the glass.
Abstract: This invention provides a photosetting resin composition suitable as a coating material for optical transmission glass fibers. Owing to the inclusion of a urethane-modified (meth)acrylate and a monoacrylate represented by the following general formula [I]:CH.sub.2 .dbd.CHCO(OC.sub.2 H.sub.4).sub.n OCH.sub.2 CH(C.sub.2 H.sub.5)(CH.sub.2).sub.3 CH.sub.3 [I]wherein n stands for an integer of 1-8, the photosetting resin composition enjoys a high photosetting speed and permits the formation of a coating film of a low modulus of elasticity. Moroever, the modulus of elasticity of the coating film has small temperature dependency at low temperatures. The present invention can hence provide light-transmitting glass fibers having excellent characteristics in optical transmission. The preferred monomer has been identified in the resin parts as 2-ethyl hexoxy ethyl acrylate, and also as 2-(2-ethylhexoxy) ethyl acrylate, and further as 2-[(2-ethylhexyl)oxy]ethyl acrylate.
Abstract: The invention discloses an optical disc base plate obtained by curing with irradiation of light a light- or radiation-curable resin composition in which a photopolymerization initiator is contained in an amount of 0.5 to 5 parts by weight per 100 parts by weight of a resin composition comprising the compounds (1), (2) and (3) mixed in amounts falling in the area defined by lines A-B-C-D-E-A in the triangular diagram of FIG.
Abstract: This invention is directed to the reaction product of an O-epoxyalkylated tetrakis (hydroxyphenyl) alkane resin with a phenol, which is used either as an upper layer over a lower layer of a diazo resin in a bi-layer system or as a homogeneous mixture with a diazo resin in a mono-layer system to provide a water-developable, negative-working, lithographic printing plate.

Abstract: A polymerizable fluid for sealing and locking engineering parts contains components which allow 2 mechanisms of polymerization, the first of the mechanisms being initiatable by radiation such as ultraviolet light, and an opacifier such as a powder dispersed in the fluid, the opacifier rendering the fluid opaque to the radiation. A coating of the fluid is applied to one of the engineering parts and the coating is exposed to the radiation which initiates the first of said polymerization mechanisms, so that polymerization occurs only in a surface layer of the coating to form a dry tack free crust thereon. Due to the presence of the opacifier, the radiation is obstructed from passing beyond the surface layer and the subcutaneous fluid is unaffected by the radiation. The second polymerization mechanism, suitably a free radical addition polymerization of known type, is initiatable when two engineering parts are assembled together.
Abstract: Production of a reaction mixture comprising the multifunctional acrylates, methacrylates or halogenated derivatives thereof of oxyalkylated allyl alcohol characterized as being free of odor typical of allyl compounds, not lachrimatory and substantially reduced skin irritation as compared with acrylates and methacrylates of allyl alcohol. The acrylate and methacrylate compositions of the invention are useful as radiation-crosslinkable diluents for radiation-hardenable compositions (binders).
