Abstract: The present invention relates to a filler material for a floor, comprising a natural base material and a mixture containing loess and a resin in powder or pellet form, as well as to a method for producing the filler material. The filler material of the present invention uses the natural base material and is thus environmentally-friendly and not harmful to the human body. Further, in the event rice husks are used as the natural base material, a person slipping on the floor is protected from burning caused by friction as the rice husks have a high moisture content. In addition, the loess contained in the filler material keeps the floor from becoming moldy and emits far infrared radiation, and therefore is beneficial to the human body. The resin emulsion of the filler material prevents the natural base material from generating dust, thus preventing dust from entering the human body via the respiratory organs of the human body.

Abstract: In the present invention, biodegradable nanocomposites are introduced which include nanoclay particles, titanium dioxide nanoparticles, polyethylene, polypropylene, starch as a biopolymer, maleic anhydride and glycerol. The obtained nanocomposites have very high physical, mechanical and antimicrobial properties. Proper dispersion and distribution of nanoparticles in composite substrate would help in improving the quality of the product to a great extent. The presence of polypropylene next to polyethylene would eliminate the weak points of polyethylene/biopolymer composite as polypropylene helps to modify the physical and engineering properties of nanocomposites in the presence of nanoclay. Titanium dioxide nanoparticles have antimicrobial properties and would result in products which are useful for food and pharmaceutical industries. Another important aspect of this invention is the production of samples in one step by reaction extrusion method.

  • Patent number: 8921452
Abstract: [Problems] To provide a resin composition containing ultrafine silver particles and having excellent antibacterial property as well as excellent deodorizing power against both the nitrogen type smelling components and the sulfur-containing smelling components. [Means for Solution] A resin composition obtained by heating and mixing a resin composition, a silver carboxylate and a carboxylic acid together. A thermoplastic resin, the silver carboxylate and the carboxylic acid are heated and mixed together at a temperature lower than a temperature at which the silver carboxylate starts decomposing but not lower than a melting point of the thermoplastic resin.
