Publication number: 20150148459Abstract: The deposition of graphene is accomplished by various techniques that result in a change of the graphene's solubility in the liquid medium. The solubility change enables the deposition of the graphene onto the substrate. Once the graphene is deposited onto the substrate, the at least partially coated substrate may be separated from the liquid medium. The substrates may then serve as a carrier to deliver the graphene to a desired application.Type: ApplicationFiled: June 5, 2013Publication date: May 28, 2015Inventors: Adam R. Pawloski, Gregory S. Patent number: 6989423Abstract: Processes are disclosed for oxygen-tailoring polyethylene resin. Polyethylene resin is conveyed through a feed zone, a melt-mixing zone and a melt zone. The resin is contacted with oxygen in an amount of at least 40 parts by weight O2 per million parts by weight resin, and contacted with primary antioxidant downstream of the point or points of oxygen contact. The oxygen-treated resin can be used to make polyethylene film having improved gauge uniformity.Type: GrantFiled: July 2, 2003Date of Patent: January 24, 2006Assignee: ExxonMobil Chemical Patents, Inc.Inventors: James E. Patent number: 6887923Abstract: The present invention disclose a method for the orientation of a high density polyethylene (“HDPE”) film. The process of the invention comprises forming a HDPE-wax mixture by adding to a HDPE batch a normally solid hydrocarbon wax. The HDPE-wax mixture is subsequently stretched into a film at an orientation temperature below the film's melt temperature. The hydrocarbon wax is characterized by having a drop point equal to or lower than the melting point of the HDPE film. The present invention also provides a film made by the process of the invention and a master batch thereof.Type: GrantFiled: December 11, 2002Date of Patent: May 3, 2005Assignee: Equistar Chemicals, L.P.Inventors: Robert J.
